I'd love to go to DragonCon, but unfortunately, the money required for such doesn't love me back. One day...

I'm just scared of all the nerds. No offense to all the nerds going to D*C :-)

I'm a nerd too of course. I just try to hide it by blending in with non-nerds.

How long does that last? There's gotta be some sort of statute of limitations.

While I think you all will have a GRAND time...I'm not too upset about not being able to go. I have never had much luck with stuff like that. The few Swing dance camps I've gone to have been horrible...not because of the activities or whatnot...but because I didn't enjoy myself.

Being shy, with a natural 'get the f#@$ away from me' vibe means stuff like that usually isn't all that fun.

Manly acts have let me feel very Jayne-like lately.

So last night Mindy got off work and found out she could get a free after shift drink. I had a (one) beer to her six small margaritas. One of which was a special blend mixed strong but blended as not to knock the drinker completely ga ga. I had to exert some "adult" judgement and refused to take her to another bar. Sure she was pissed being drunk and all. But driving past the reservoir she decided to go for a moonlight swim.

Not quite on the skinny dipping side(thanks MSG) due to the passing traffic. But later we sat and listened to music on a side road before going home.

Details aside, I feel like a manly man today and had a great lunch hour cuddling and playing with the babies.

Stupid two hour sleep work days.

I'm not the get away from me type. Though big groups are still not good in my book. The more new people I'm bombarded with the more I write them off as insignificant and I just basically ignore them.

That and I enjoy doing the thing at parties where you sit off to the side with a friend and just make fun of everyone else cause they can't hear you over the music.

Someday we'll have to go to a con and make fun of everybody else. What do ya say?

I may take you up on that...although instead of making fun, it would have to be more of 'OMG-can-you-believe-that.' I only get mean-spirited when people are that way to me. Freaks are fun...and they expand our horizons...get us out of our comfort zone.

And they don't approach me because of aforementioned vibe, so life really is pretty peachy.

Decided to spend a little time getting ahead on payroll so here I am.

Kinda pissed. Blew out the crotch of my favorite baggy jeans while picking up meds at Walgreens. Sucks 'cause a certain someone really likes them too. Crap.

Last pant I blew out were my ACU pants I wore while paintballin'. Talk about pissed. My buddy John lightened the mood by mentioning the term "free ballin'". Comedy relief sure seems to be a stong point for me at time.

*wearily wanders in*
Hey all, I'm off for my yearly Pennsic trip and wanted to give hugs to all and I'll stop in when I can steal...er...uh, borrow my campmate's laptop.

Sorry about your pants, NVG. *hugs*

Zeek...we're not all that bad at cons. Just think of it as a party where you can always find an interesting conversation or something nifty to look at.

I'll definitely be back for the "I'm not at D*C Par-tay."

Bed time for me. I gotta get up in 3 1/2 hours and load up the car.

When we're down, don't frown. Come join the camp-out at serenitymovie.org.

mornin' Imponderables.

You guys were quieter than the bar this weekend. Wow.

RugBug, if I saw you at a Con, I would come over and see you, regardless of the vibe. I'd even see if you wanted to dance some.
