But here's an update. Looks like the top 2 projects (meaning most discussed) aside from ongoing efforts that we can throw ourselves behind are:
(1) Newsletter-either electronic or hardcopy or both
(2) Blog-site or Website that can enhance the other sites out there.
(3) Efforts that are ongoing to aid.
A core group of sorts has been initially formed (and I mean initially) and I've responded to those who have expressed solid enthusiasm and the offer to help. IF I'VE MISSED ANYONE PLEASE PM ME!!
In other words if I haven't sent you a PM with my email and/or you havent responded back, please let me know so I can include you on the list.
We will be having an 'official' chat discussion within the next week. A temporary leader will be picked for each of the 3 groups or sub-groups listed above.
These groups will be able to discuss between themselves off-line to begin to develop a workable plan and strategy.
Veterans will be enlisted to act either in an advisory or working capacity (so we're not going after something already being done and help us to understand existing politics).
Once a workable and reviewed plan is complete...we'll take it to the next steps.
Really good idea's and discussion from all this. Now let's 'start doin'.
Thought I'd repost to remind everyone since there's some questions. Just a quick update.
Wolf and Red and I plan on checking out a chat solution tomorrow to see how it works. Ease of use, etc. Once we're satisfied, everyone that's responded (and I havent missed) will get an email outlining efforts and initial discussion points for a scheduled chat. We'll give it a day or two so I can collect any feedback and then we'll send out an email with the chat site, time, an such.
I should have reposted this yesterday, but was watching the DVD of Serenity.
