Found out less than an hour ago, my dad said good (and he is old world Catholic, we're talkin Roman Catholic here so that tells you something about the negative impact the guy had on the world and religion in general) And I replied how I would LOVE to be there when he had that final meeting with God, how hilarious it would be to see this man who spread so much distrust and hate in the name of religion had to explain himself to The Big Guy. I laughed and laughed. As they say, the road to hell was paved with good intentions.

Mr Falwell didn't impact my life, nor did I agree with much about....anything.
Orlando is still earth quake free, despite gays enjoying Disneyland.
I know his family and friends will miss him, and for them I hope some comfort finds its way to ease their grief.

While alive that man certainly had no problem telling my child that he was an aberration, a filth and an abomination just because of the way he was born. That seem right to you?

I’m sure that somewhere he has family that miss him. And whether I agreed with his political views or particular brand of Christianity, there were many that did and felt that his ministries were an important part of their lives. My grandmother was one of those people. I didn’t see what she saw in him, but in some way he enriched her life, and I’m happy for that.
