Well, aside from totally checking your brain as soon as you walk into a live radio-show, I think it went rather well. You should have heard Powell and I during the break... "It's ZOE you dumass!" That was my first time ever on radio, so if you couldn't already tell... that's my excuse, and I'm sticking with it!

And I apologize to anyone who beleives I "politicized" FF by being on that show. However, I believe some of the banter on the list is misplaced... I think "libertarians" (a.k.a. free thinkers) love this show because of it's... uh... hmm... anti-gubmint theme?

I'll echo Ernie's sentiments insofar as "libertarianism" or free-thinking is more than some dumb political party. I personally think that people are drawn to FF for a reason...

Just what that is, you tell me. I can only speak for myself. ;)

No, seriously... in my own case I learned of the show through Lux Lucre. I don't watch much boob-tube, and when I do, I find new and creative ways of avoiding Fox. They have been bad news for a while folks! Anyway, lux turned me on to "this" just before the DVD's came out so I bought the set. The rest is history.

I don't plan on being involved in this community much beyond planning and executing the Tucson "Serenity Party"... I got my fingers in too many other pies for y'all to be wondering if I'll try to take your fine hats here on your (very, by the way) fine web-site.

I think this guy had his info a little mixed up. He kept commenting about lines from Lux's flash animation showing up in Firefly and if I'm not mistaken I think it was the other way around.

Anyway, it was fun to hear Firefly talked up on the air. It think they'd be a bit surprised by Joss's politics though. And for that matter, the politics on Firefly weren't as cut and dried as they seemed to portray on the radio show.

I have to say, as a libertarian browncoat, I was disappointed with that show. There wasn't very much substance, for either Firefly or libertarianism. I think Ernie oversimplified and definitely read too much into Firefly that wasn't necessarily intended.

But I still commend his efforts for helping get the word out to libertarians who haven't seen Firefly yet. Maybe this will get them interested.

I tuned into the program for about an hour & 1/2 last night. It was great to hear Firefly discussed, though the confusion on names was a bit disconcerting.

I still think it is great to get the show out to people that may not have seen it, or even heard of it. Any sort of publicity will benefit the movie effort.
