Very exciting news. I can't wait to get my hands on the special edition DVD. I own the original and will happily purchase the new one this summer. One day I will have the money to buy an HD Player and then I'll pick it up in HD as well. Thanks for the happy news!

Shiny! And it's not "just" the Aussi SE, it's gonna have brand new stuff, like commentaries! And I hear there's gonna be different key art.

I hope its one of those long extended director's cut thingys with all the deleted scenes put back it. Generally that screws a movie up (Aliens Director's cut snore) but I can't ever get too much Serenity...or Firefly for that matter.

I think Joss said that the movie already IS the director's cut, because it is like he envisioned it.
And I liked the Aliens DC much better than the regular cut!
