Yeah don't count on deleted scene restoration. As said above, Joss has already defended those cuts and said what we saw was the movie as it will be.

YES! That was one of the things I found a little disappointing about the Firefly DVDS - we've only got Alan, Nathan, Morena, Jewel (? - ours have been lent out), and Joss (Did I miss anyone?) to regale us with behind-the-scenes tidbits.
