Sorry but it is Batman all the way. I mean with Spiderman, he stops and has to think to figure out his next move. Batman is so far ahead in planning that he is always at least 5 moves ahead in any situation (with 5 alternate moves in case the first one fails)
Batman might have gotten the crap beat out of him in the fight, but you can bet he won it. With Spiderman, if he starts to loose he has to flee to come up with a new plan. Sometimes I wonder if his red and blue suit is equipped with Spidey-Diapers!

Jonny- Not funny no scary clowns!!!! That movie traumatized me. Didn't sleep for days. We will never ever ever bring that up again!!! EEEEEEEEEEEK!!
Anyway, thank you James that's what I'm saying. Spiderman is not a long range planner and he never has a back-up plan whereas Batman's backup-plan has a back-up plan. Plus Spidey's just too nice:)
Hell's Kitten- it's fine, my theory is equally applicable to Superman:)
FMF!!!! FMF!!! HUGS HUGS HUGS HUGS HUGS oh it's so good to see you! Missed you ever so much!
Mav- morning sweety:)

Count me in as a Non-Clown Individual.
(HA! me & msg can be NCI's)
(msg, you can have Gibbs, I'll take DiNozzo.)
I think they are scary, and unpredictable - and not in a good way. Clowns are NOT to be trusted.
In High School, the first time I walked into a friend's house I almost fainted when I saw her mom's clown collection. The family room must have had 80 clown statues and dolls. Aside from the incredibly poor decorating skills, my skin cawls just thinking back to that horrid day.

"But, these fraidy cat women characters?"
"Why aren't you asking about fraidy cat women characters?" -Boss Hogg. (well, no, but it's the first name that came to me)
What is it about Clowns?
"Well, here I am...Does that seem right to you?"

Never trust anyone who has a permanently fixed facial expression. Plus there's the whole fake cheerfulness which is likely covering some deep seated insanity. But for me it's not all clowns ( though they do make me vaguely uneasy for the reasons listed above) it's Tim Curry doing IT...and I'm not alone. In the behind the scenes they mentioned that, when he was wearing the costume and make-up, the rest of the cast wouldn't eat with him because he wigged them out.
Mav- really you like DiNozzo better?? I am now profoundly curious as to why.

He *is* nice, isn't he MSG? I think that's why Spider-Man is my favourite hero. He's the one who stays the most like his "normal" persona. Even with his powers in full flow, he's still Peter Parker in a costume. A really nice guy. Decent. And with a great sense of humour.
Oh Goddess. I think I'm attracted to Spider-Man!

*gooseflesh from looking at pics...*
I can't even bring myself to post the last pic I found. A little too close to home, and more than mildly disturbing.
NO CLOWNS, PLEASE!

Actually, no...I like Gibbs. I know you REALLY like Gibbs, so in this virtual world where I share well with others, I'll suffer and take DiNozzo, leaving Gibbs to you and your wicked ways.

See how much I like you? I virtually gift Mark Harmon to you. Now that's friendship. (HUG)

Batman wins.
There is one simple reason that DCU characters will always beat Marvel characters. The DC universe is Lovecraftian.
Arkham Asylum, references to elder gods....chthulu trumps mutants, hands down.
Now, why would anyone think that putting a villain into Arkham would make the better?
