Another measure of adultery-ness (pun intentional, if not warranted) is doing a happy dance that you got enough new leads that you need to print more business cards.
Now I can be happy about impending clients as I revel in being a horologist.
EDIT: I probably get adult-points taken away for giggling about being a horologist.

hey giggling is fun:) I know that I shall never qualify for adult status since I play juvenile practical jokes, watch cartoons, and can spend several hours discussing the relative merits of Spiderman and Batman and who would win in a fight ( I still stand by Batman because of his superior planning skills)
And now I have to go...it's late night tutoring for me

Yeah - but think of all those hearts you get to rip out and play with... just for the heck of it!
Quote:It's biblical in it's origin and has to do with the nescessity of salt for flocks to lick - salt licks are still used today - and how without salt your flock may not do too well in the harsh Middle Eastern climate... blah blah blah ... Jesus mentioned it in the sermon on the mount... sorry - I am not feeling terribly thological today...
I have a question! I doubt it's an imponderable, though:
Someone recently said to a bunch of us "You good folks are the salt of the earth!" and it was said in a positive, complimentary manner.
Now, I've always understood that to "salt the earth" meant to make it unable to yield crops... a "scorched earth" tactic that basically ruins the land.
SO... how'n th'hell does "you're the salt of the earth" become a compliment? What's it mean??
For those of you just joining us, or actually reading one of my posts for the first time, I have an odd fascination with language, which leads me to think about things like this.
Wanna have some ice-cream?

mmm ice cream sandwiches. NO!!
CHIPWICHES!!!
We just finished a nice hot gooey peachy oaty cobbler kind of thing that the kidlet made.
Magda love, I was in Godspell too! Twice!
College productions. First time I did the Sonia part "Turn Back O Man", then the Herb part "All For The Best" (the patter part).
If I had only seen some honest burlesque bump-n-grind my performance would have been much better. I did leave red lipstick on bald heads at every opportunity.
