Not yet. 2 precious discs to go. I'm DYING to find out just who his 'First' cat is. Didn't Andrew come back in the latter eps of Angel ? Once to track a crazy potential, Dana? And again when Spike and Angel tangled w/ The Immortal in Italy?

Ready for the whirlwind finish - I think.

People love a happy ending. So every episode, I will explain once again that I don't like people. And then Mal will shoot someone. Someone we like. And their puppy. - Joss

" They don't like it when you shoot at 'em. I worked that out myself. "

If you're expecting a corporeal big bad you can look at.....

The First was in Amends, season 3, remember?

Hurry up and watch 'em Chrisisall

Yep, Chris nailed it--don't be expecting a reveal of some honest-to-God, corporeal Big Bad. What you've seen from the First so far is what you get--a non-corporeal entity who appears in the form of dead people.

Altho, if you haven't already been spoiled ahead of time, be on the lookout for a VERY familiar face as the First's top henchman...

I'm drawing a blank, and I'll hold off on revisiting that ep, until I've seen the last disc. All I recall about S3 is the Mayor, Faith and graduation and such. But that'll all have to wait until NEXT week, as I'm gonna be out of town this weekend.

It's the Christmas episode. The one where Angel gets tormented by visions of people he killed in the past. Jenny Calendar is in it!

Well, the deed is done. Finally watched the last 7 episodes.

To quote our captain.... 'Huh'.

Not saying I wasn't impressed, but it seemed a tad on hurry it up and get out of town side.

What I didn't care for:
-

Select to view spoiler:

The death of Anya. I'm not saying I didn't see it coming, but there was like ZERO grief from anyone. Xander sure did get over it quickly, with the quips and jokes while standing next to the Sunnydale crater.

- Buffy being voted out of her own house. HUH?

- Principal Wood. Even though his mom was a slayer, I never got over the feeling that somehow he was connected to The First. Or maybe it was the whole Charles Gunn thing I saw with him. Too many similarities.

What I liked :
-

Select to view spoiler:

Yeah, Andrew did grow on me. And I liked how they kept the trio of evil villains together, in a manner.
- A wicked cool Excalibur type weapon.
- Doing away with the notion that " there can be only one " ..blah blah blah. Nice message to end the series on.

People love a happy ending. So every episode, I will explain once again that I don't like people. And then Mal will shoot someone. Someone we like. And their puppy. - Joss

Congrats on good works (all seven seasons).
Note though the way Xander's voice shakes as he says "That's my girl, always doing the stupid thing..."

He cried buckets later I'll wager Chrisisall

Oh, most definatly caught Xander's comment to Andrew. I'm not saying he should have gone all black eyed and veiney.....but still.

Now I've seen both Angel and Buffy, I'm all reflective over how each series 'should' have ended, if Joss Co. had been given a firm committment of x number of years. Which is crazy, in the t.v. biz, but still. I recall folks saying how S5 of Angel felt 'rushed' to tie up all the loose ends.

Oh, I also liked "Goddess" Willow too, now that I think of it. That was rather neat.

hey, i just finished season7 about, what, 14ish minutes ago? ccall it maybe 17 or 18 by the time i'm done typing?
anyway, just thought i'd put in my two cents.
(spoilage insuing)

raptor, i'm inclined to agree about anya; she was never really a favorite of mine, but i thought her death was kinda meaningless.
i thought spikes death was alright; i DID like him, but i felt like it was a good way for him to go. plus, if i remember my spoilers a-right, he comes back in A5? (i'm still on A2, just couldnt be patient enough to do 'em at the same time).

in things i didn't like: i don't mean to continualy bring up this point (i.e. the other threads i've started to this nature) but the whole willow kennedy thing really kinda ruined it for me. as stated in said other thread, i'm fully aware that this is just me pulling for happy ending and wanting to believe in the happily ever after; its just, isnt that the point? i mean, its a television show. a tv show actually called, "buffy the vampire slayer". doesnt that kinda give away the part where it's FICTION? and since it is fiction, isn't it ok to have ahppily ever after's?

ok, in an attempt to clarify all this rambling:
in the break that i took 'twixt seasons 6 and 7 soas not to fail my finals, i 'accepted' tara's death. that is, i moved out of the throwing things phase, and on to the quite rational sorrow/pain/anger. so when season 7 started up, i figured, ok, willow's just gotta pull through one more season and then thats it. better yet, maybe she'll die and she can go be in heaven w/ tara. plus in the 'speaking to dead people' (or something like that) ep, even though it just turns out to be the first, you for sure get the idea that tara's watching over her. but then-
WTF IS KENNEDY DOING!?!?! he, silly girl, surely you know willow'd never go for you, she's taras, you can't have her, so just- WHAT! WILLOW GET YOUR HANDS/LIPS OFF HER!!!! ...er... yeah. my basic reaction. so then i hoped' it'd just be a temp thing, but that didn't work out. and then i hoped kennedy would just die, but THAT didn't work out. c'mon, joss, throw us a bone!

anyway, somewhere amid the anger, i think about 3 eps away from the end, i read on wikipedia that originally joss was gonna bring tara back, but that didnt work out on account of 'scheduling problems' (which made me want to schedule quite a few people for a long session in special hell). and i still can't quite figure out if this original plan makes me feel better or worse. on the one hand, could it mean thers hope for the future? s8 comics? ...but on the otehr hand, now i can reeeally picture a lot of the willow/kennedy moments having been meant for willow/tara, and it looks like a cheap replacement. not getting any less upset here!

Ok, one final point before i stop ranting; are we supposed to LIKE kennedy? and if so, why? i mean, i know i'm prejudice, but i reeeeally don't find her character even the least bit likeable.

edit: WOW that was longer then intended! sry!
