I don't have a complaint (and when talking about S7, that's rare for me ) about the way everyone--even Xander--reacted to Anya's death. There is enough of a state of shock after something like what they went thru that you don't really expect them to break down crying right then and there (like Chris said, I'm sure they cried for her later that night). My big gripe with her death was how fast it happened: she's there, she's fighting, she's fighting, whoopsshe'sdead, next scene. If I hadn't been accidentally spoiled about it ahead of time, I'm not sure I would've even registered that it'd happened on the first viewing, it went by so fast. A character that had been around that long, and brought as much to the show as she did, deserved a little more of a moment than that...

Miramel, first, you're gonna love S5 of Angel. I know there's lots that happens from S2 to S5, but try to keep in mind what happens in the final ep of Buffy when you see....well, you know

Quickly revisiting Willow-Tara-Kennedy, am I totally wrong in how Willow went from the dominant part of her and Tara's relationship, to the more submissive role with Kennedy? Willow and Kennedy was everything that Willow and Tara wasn't, and I think most folks weren't too keen on how that played out. I'd have much rather seen Tara come back, as you mentioned. Kennedy was fairly unimpressive, imo.

Anya I didn't care for much at first, but she really grew on me later on. It must be bunnies....heh heh. I think from the fight w/ Buffy, there was an ounce of hope left that somehow she'd make it....but no.

One character I wish had been treated differently was Amy (rat girl). I really liked her, but think she went from likable character to needlessly being a jerk. Can a girl be a jerk ? Hmm....well, she was.

Groos - I completely agree about Xander and his "that's my girl" line. But maybe a moment or two, a shot of Xander walking away and taking in what he just lost, before rejoining the group.....

Oh well.

People love a happy ending. So every episode, I will explain once again that I don't like people. And then Mal will shoot someone. Someone we like. And their puppy. - Joss

" They don't like it when you shoot at 'em. I worked that out myself. "

raptor, i'm inclined to agree about anya; she was never really a favorite of mine, but i thought her death was kinda meaningless.

I saw it coming; The Hoffmeister said there would be a price, and I knew enough about how Joss works to get what that meant...as soon as he said that I was saying quiet good byes to Anya *snif*

AND AM I THE ONLY ONE HERE THAT THINKS KENNEDY'S COOL (for a brat)???

Kennedy's not totally unredeemable. It's just that I don't see her as a good match for Willow. ( Ok, no one is, after Tara. Unless she turns UNgay and gets together with Xander....)

Besides, the role of the brash, bossy, doesn't- play -well-with-others is already very well taken by Faith.

Mmmmm..... Faith.

chrisisall, i know i'm biased against kennedy, but even so i think i legitimatly just don't like her character... it seems like she doesnt really respect willow, she's always asking too much of her. she's got a cuple speeches where i feel that if it had been tara saying it, it woulda been really sweet, but from her it was jut arrogant/selfish/dumb.
oh, and in the ep where she first kisses willow, she has that line 'your sexy when you pout' which to me is just the dumbest, rudest least respectful and generally worst thing she could possibly say, and willow friggen goes for it!

(there will now be a short intermission for my blood preassure to return to normal :P)

anyway, what about her did you like? i'd like to think of myself as the type who could be persuaded away from my prejudices.... (ha, right)

At least she didn't try to kill him.

The first coupla go-rounds of S7, I couldn't stand Kennedy. Know how I got over it? Paid a little closer attention to what an uber-bitca Rona is. Compared to her, Kennedy is almost as sweet as Tara...
