Ok I just got the weirdest compliment/comment/hilarious remark ever from a student. Today's writing prompt was " something that confuses you" and he raised his hand and asked if he could use me as the thing that confused him. I said he could and he said he was confused by me because sometimes I dressed like a hot goth chick and sometimes I dressed like Dr. Seuss and he found that confusing. ( I should clarify I am wearing light purple converse with my dark and light purple striped socks, jeans, a hot pink thermal shirt with a medium sky blue golf shirt over that and a purple, pink, and blue striped scarf( the long fuzzy kind)

Schools in Utah must be much more progressive than I thought!
Here in Maryland, teachers aren't allowed to wear jeans of any type, nor would they be allowed to wear anything "that makes them stick out."
As a friend of mine said to me who teaches 3rd grade, "If you wouldn't wear it to your house of worship, you can't wear it in Montgomery County schools."
