Howdy all! Been a bit since I've said hi...so hi again.
Thanks, NV, for coming looking for me. Things have been busy in real life so it has cut down on reading time.
Animals: I love both cats and dogs. But lately I've come to love OTHER people's cats and dogs. Other people's cats and dogs don't shed hair on my couch, or pee on my carpet or leave WMDs in my backyard. I'm down with OPP, yeah, you know me.
Religion: Well, it's not popular around here, but I'm pretty much the Christian many of you rant about.
I don't think Christianity can really be reconciled with other belief systems. Yes, there are some areas that overlap, but when you get right down to brass tacks, it's pretty hard to say you believe the bible is truth but other religions are just as true. 'Course, if you don't believe the bible is truth, then you're good.
However, all that said, I don't feel it's my place to preach to everyone I meet. I'm not a big fan of those types of Christians either. I do enjoy lively debate but only with willing participants. And let's be honest, no one really gets into a debate with someone they don't know thinking they are going to change their mind. The only people I think have ever really impacted my beliefs or thought processes have been close friends...people that know me and care about me.
And after the dropping that bombshell, I'm off.

...But, what about us?
And here I thought you were an Atheist, quoting Shaw and all ("bless his heart" for those less Northerly)...

Think this book was hard for Amazon to classify?:

Well then lady you're my kind of Christian... believe for yourself and not for others...big HUGS and I will say there are some days when I think other people should own my dogs ( like when they go into a braking frenzy late at night when there's nothing around or when they whine to go out for the 14th time that night just 'cause there's something nice to smell or see in the yard)
I choose to rise instead of fall- U2

You're not the only one. I'm catholic. I think I've said that before too. I think every major religion has it's bad members. They just tend to be the ones who stick out the most. I'm not too worried about public opinion of christians. Nor do I care what other people's religious beliefs are. Don't see how it affects me.

Well here's something to add to the cat person/dog person debate...proof positive that cats make lousy babysitters
and that cats are better to have with you in times of war
I choose to rise instead of fall- U2
