Actually DL seems to be more of a Kitty Pride character..

After watching the episode Monday night I would have to say that the people claiming to be Claire's real parents are not truly her biological parents. My opinion based off of Claire's adopted father's conversation with them outside is that they were actor's hired to portray her biological parents to throw her off of asking about them. My guess is that Claire's adoptive father doesn't want her digging around into her past too much.

So Niki's alter ego is the one that killed the guys at the poker game, set up her husband, killed his crew and stole the $2 million leaving hubby to rot in jail. The whole conversation between Niki and her evil double was pretty creepy and interesting. The throwdown between her and DL was pretty cool. I liked his Vision/Shadowcat trick of inserting his partially phased hand into her body and causing her to black out.

Can't wait to see what happens next week.

As shown directly by this week's comic: http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/novels/

The easter egg this week links to one of Isaac's paintings:

Those are locker doors. Like you'd find in a high school. Apparently being thrown telekinetically, either at Pete or by him, using someone's powers.

Looks like there's gonna be an X-Men-style power battle, probably at Claire's school.

I think that Mohinder will be the Professor X type (he pretty much is, since he's the one giving the voice-overs about evolution), while Horn-Rimmed Glasses (aka. Claire's dad) I think is going to be the Magneto type.

I liked the two scenes with Hiro in the car with Ando, with the first one played for laughs ("I have a sword.") and the second one with Ando talking some sense into him, about being on a journey and that you can't start at the end. "Otherwise, they won't be able to make a movie out of it."

Or a kick-ass TV show in this case.

"We have five million Cybermen. How many are you?"
"Four"
You would destroy the Cybermen with four Daleks?"
"We would destroy the Cybermen with ONE Dalek. You are superior in only one respect."
"What is that?"
"You are better at dying."

Trash talk between a Cyberman and a Dalek. It doesn't get any better than that.

Yeah, I loved that sword thing. I just knew how he would react to that!

As someone posted in another forum:

"Hiro didn't come from a future where he has to carry a sword. He came from a future where he gets to carry a sword."

Ok, the online graphic novel clears up Niki's involvement with DL's crew. Looks like she was in it for the money to take care of her kid. The gang turns on her and evil Niki smokes them and buries them in the desert. That explains what happened there, but not how DL got the wrap for it. Did Niki's evil persona actually frame him?

The painting by Issac I have seen on the show. I knew it was Pete because it looks just like him from the flying painting that Isaac had in his loft. I recognized the locker doors and figured they must be from Claire's high school. No doubt it is where Pete goes to Texas to save her from Sylar. Looks like we are in for a super powers battle.

Another fairly slow ep this week, but we find a couple of new powers: radiation guy who was working for Sylar, and Micah finally demonstrates his childish badassitude (he's a technopath!! And he can distinguish between Jennifer/Nikki). He also now knows about Hiro's time-travelling (or will, when the next issue of 9th Wonders hits the stands). Wonder if he'll tell his dad.

I'm worried about Isaac's disappearance now, obviously connected to Bennet's agent.

Also worth noting that we've already seen the future change: when Hiro time-travelled here earlier to find Isaac's body, his pictures were still around. That's no longer the case.

Looks like future-Hiro was the cause: he told Peter, which got him to pass the message about "the cheerleader" to Mohinder, thence to Mr. Bennett, which precipitated Isaac being removed from the equation.

Wait, that means that "our" Hiro couldn't have found Isaac in the future, which means he's recalling an alternate timeline. Could this be the "rift" the Hiros foreshadowed? . . . I hate time-travel!!

Anyway, new comic up, with rapidly degenerating art and a dialogue/factual error (American license plates don't have that many characters).

The Easter Egg this week leads to Isaac's incomplete painting, the one Pete finished.

The interesting thing here is the name of the pic: HRS_SylarGymFlr_clr.jpg. Those lines on the background do look like the hardwood floor of a gym. Looks like more evidence of the high-school-based power battle: SPECULATIVE SPOILERS

Select to view spoiler:

Sylar goes to track down Claire, while his flunkies hold off the rescuers. The final showdown happens in the gym. . .

Looks like Sylar is, as Hiro would put it, the level boss.

Same here...SPECULATIVE SPOILER ALERT

I post over at zap2it.com, and this woman Mandy posted this today. Rocked me back on my heels for a moment.

*******************************
I thought this theory deserved a seperate post. Please give your opinions. I know who Sylar is. I think he is Future Peter.
We all know that Peter can use the powers of whatever super he is near. I think if he kills the super, he can absorb their powers permantley. Sylar can fly-Nathan, Heal-Claire, I think the mindcontrol will come from Matt's powers (read and control minds like Jean Grey and Professor X on X-men), and if my theory is correct, he would be able to come back to the future if he had Hiro's powers. I think that is why Future Hiro chose to appear to Peter on the train. Peter will have to make a choice between good and evil- being the one they need.
I think some of this theory developed with the revelation of Peter's darker side in the past episode and his obessesion with being "someone special." Wanting to be someone special does not a Hero make. And Hiro is all about the heroic values, so he could have come back to instill those in Peter.
If this is correct, I should expect NBC to offer me a job...

Hmmmmm...and I also like the term "technopath."

What I'm interested in (besides Micah's new abilities) is the next episode. Is it possible that Claire's dad isn't one of the big bads? He might just be trying to protect Claire, but using extreme means to do so. Maybe he's using Sylar (if that is him, I'm not entirely sure) to find out more information about everyone's powers. And by the way, what is the cop's name? I can never remember.
