PaginPaul - Feel free to vent here. Venting is good, and we all do it.
There squats PaganPaul, looking disheveled and unwashed. He peers up into the light, and then drops the bone he’s been gnawing on. As it falls to the filthy floor, everyone notices that it is engraved with the words “grief” and “loneliness” and it has been thoroughly gnawed upon.
He shields his face with one hand, as if the bright light of reason is hurting his eyes. He scuttles away, but the light follows him, and now all can see that there is a chain around his ankle, just below his tattered pants, that is anchoring him to where he is trapped alone in the darkness and filth of his little corner.
He futilely swipes at the light of reason, trying in vain to make it stop shining on him, but the source of the light is much too far away to be effected by his futile attempts. He gives up and slumps down to the floor, forlorn and despondent.
He looks at all the people now looking back at him in his solitude, and gathering as much dignity as he possibly can muster, he gets to his feet, brushes himself off, and defiantly croaks out a single sound…**
Gollum! Gollum!

OK, so it’s not really that bad, but let’s just say I’ve had better days.

NVG, just went over to the forum and read what you wrote...very good stuff! And I freaked when I learned that was all you had posted...where's the rest?!? How can you leave us hanging like that?!?
I anxiously await the rest.
PaganPaul, I feel for you, my friend. Anything I can do, please let me know.
*offers a man-hug*
A few of the guys in here gave me one of those...they work wonders.

Been updating piece by piece. Five parts so far. Getting ready to submit some to MSG's friends site. Have to be pretty careful though. I'd stuff stolenin the past. Got tons of notes and alternate stories on paper and my hard drive at home. Seems this time of year I get to writting and shotgunning (upland game season is upon us). Can't wait for the first Pheasent dinner.

*gives PaganPaul a bath to gently wash off the grime*
NVG - did you have your notes stolen, or did someone copy your story and claim it as theirs?

Ever seen a little show called Firefly? Kidding.
I actually had a few poetry pieces published in a Bay area perodical, but I didn't submit them, didn't approve them, and didn't cash the stipend check. So now I keep all notes and write the names of those witnessing me writting on the notes.

Umm well I can't really say that that makes me feel better...but I do know that first days are pretty much designed to suck. Besides the second day was a bit better, though I sitll pretty much hate all the classes I'm taking this semester.
