Thats some funny stuff. Seems more painful to do nothing than to do the things we love.
Stayed up 'til two this morning with BabyV. She was happy pretty much the whole time. That in its self is a little odd.
I really don't know where this is going. Court on Monday. Custody hearing and sisters criminal trial all in the same morning. I have a bad feeling there may be some BS loophole or oversight that will allow her to get the kids back.

Probably just worrying too much. Just hate to think all of this will fall in and disappear.

So, getting real, I'm afraid to be without them. They have been my saving grace for the last few months. I honestly don't know what I'll do without them. Eventually my sister may get them back. And what about my BabySis? She's pretty much given up on everything else except BabyV.

Think I'll return to my alternate universe for a bit.

Domestic troubles…? Domestic troubles…?

Sorry, couldn’t help myself.

As you may or may not have noticed, I haven’t been around here in a while. And now, when I check the thread, I see all manner of turmoil in the ranks. To quote an old Grateful Dead tune…”What a long, strange trip it’s been..”
I sometimes think of my marriage like that…sometimes stranger than others….but (and I’m not bragging or anything here); the wife and I recently acknowledged our 26th year together. I say acknowledge, because after that many years, to celebrate... well not so much. But 26 years…man, I know marriages that didn’t last that many months… Also, as the years roll by, and as our anniversary comes up – I always give her the option to opt out…. Maybe someday she’ll take me up on it (doubtful).

So, for what it’s worth (coming from a non-regular imponderable-err), Tristan, Pagan Paul and anyone else suffering the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune…my condolences or congratulations… take what you will and leave the rest.

RugBug, thank you for your thoughts. It is nice to know that, even if I don't "really" know y'all, you are still here for me. It's great to have a family like this!
Hugs all around!

Whatever else NV, you know you've given those kids love and stability they can carry with them not matter what occurs. They know you're there for them and that means a whole lot!!! Even little kids remember :)

*zoid, a chronic non-player, pokes head into thread (uninvited, i might add) and says:*

Ponder this: You spelled 'Jingleheimer' wrong. The way you've got it spelled, it would be pronounced 'Jingle-hee-mer'.

Sorry for this interruption; but, I just can't stand people's names getting misspelled. I mean, we are all unique individuals, and yet all the same, all One.

So when you misspell 'Jingleheimer', well... His name is my name, too...

*finished, zoid disappears like a mist at daybreak*

Respectfully,

zoid

P.S.
I'm certain Josh Whendon would agree with me (who ever he is).

Aww! You guys are the best! Just look at all the well wishes on here for me. Shucks! You make me feel guilty for moaning when I'm not more sick (after all there are some serious problems being undergone by people here.)

Don't worry about me, it's nothing too serious. I've had this irritating um, swelling in my gut (edited to remove technospeak and ickiness!) for a while now but the doctor's trying another huge dose of antibiotics before we resort to the knife. Wheeee! Look at the spinny lights!

It's not going to keep me from my Firefly convention next week though!
Oh ! I've just realised that I'm going to have to cut out (or at least down on) the binge drinking I was planning. Pooh!

Anyway, back to the imponderables. Forgiveness? Tricky one and one I'm still working on. I quite often think I've forgiven people and then the next time they do something to upset me all the old bitterness comes back. Anyone have any tips for improving my mental health by allowing me to let go of stuff?

Emma- well you can whinge all you want hon...even if it were minor ( and yours doesn't sound mionr) complaining to friends makes everyone feel better. You feel better because you got your problem off your chest, and we feel good because we were there for you and helped:0 So it's a win win:) Here I'll complain now...I never get to go to any cons ( they all happen during school and I can't find get-away time)

oh and hey Zoid how do you know I spelled Jingleheimer wrong??? LOL 'cause his name is my name too:)

Thanmks MSG, that's sweet! And I'm sorry about the con situation. If you like I'll be your surrogate con goer. I'll ask Sean, Jewel or Morena any question you like and buy stuff for you to send on. I'll certainly take lots of photos! Just tell me how I can help (short of threatening your bosses into letting you have time off and paying for your airfare over here - I'd do the first bit but I'm afraid I'm too broke for the second!)

Don't feel bad MSG. I've missed them too. Right along with deer hunting trips, concerts, and nearly my oldest friends wedding. And I was the best man.

Listening to Gorillaz really makes me feel alone. So far in the future, but still so close. Does music effect everyones moods or do the moods dictate the music?
