I suppose women like big strong men out of touch with their feelings that likes to get drunk and slap 'em around. Seems to me women don't know what they want.

Don't recall ever seeing Jayne hit a woman or even being overly disrespectful to one. In hear of gold he brushes her hair and speaks nicely to the hooker. He seems out for sex and rowdy, but I;ve never seen him hurt a woman or show any indication he'd be that kind of man..Liking manly, tough guys doesn't mean liking guys who are abusive...You can be a strong manly and lets face it violent guy without being abusive.

Ooooooohhhhhhhhhh I dated a guy like Jayne. Constant reminders the whole show through.
It's probably the whole instinctual thing kicking in. In the deep nearly forgotten parts of the woman's subconscious, big strong man not only equals protection, but healthy babies.
That and the fact that he's a gorram sexy beast! Oh those callused work worn hands...that grin. The icy eyes piercing into your inner sanctum...Okay I'm stopping now.

Jayne is a contradiction; intimidating, gruff but every now and again you get a glimpse of the puppy beneath the wolf. The fact that he’s massive hunk of yummy man meat doesn’t hurt neither. ; )
Sorry, Jaylee squicks me to death because Kaylee’s way to soft for the merc. He needs someone with a little more edge. If Wash wasn’t married, I could see Kaylee with him, if not Simon.
I’m a Rayne shipper all the way. The two have murderous chemistry.

The character of Jayne does't appeal to me in the way a lot of women here react, but he is well built.
And some women perfer the caveman. Personally, I like conversation along with bunk activity (so Simon and Mal more my style). But hell, a tumble in the bunk just for the sake of the tumbling aint bad either!
Actually he reminds me of a friend of mine (looks and character), although to give my friend credit, he is far FAR more loyal than Jayne.
