Well, there really is no such thing as objectivity in a forum like this, but I will do my best. First and foremost, this administration has been faced with unprecedented challenges in America's short history. That combined with biased media coverage (it is biased one way or the other depending on who you watch.) and a country that has no stomach for fighting a war with mounting casualties and seemingly no end in sight. Here are some positives over the last few years:
*There has not been a terrorist attack since 9/11 in the U.S. or since Jack Bauer has been on T.V.
*Bush has brought attention to the issue of illegal immigration and border security. I am not saying he is handling it particularly well, but at least we have a dialogue on it.
*Saddam Hussein and his two sons are no longer brutalizing Iraqis. Yes you could say more Iraqis are dying now then before, but I would rather die standing in a voting line or Iraqi police recruiting center then in a torture chamber.
*Bush has sparked debate on some very important domestic issues that really need to be examined right now. (privacy, abortion, wiretapping, gay marriage, improved plane security, oil prices, etc.)
*He is a president that we can all laugh at and make ourselves feel smarter than we actually are.
*The continuing unrest in Iraq has made me realize (I don't know about anyone else) that the Middle East is very unstable and in need of regime change. Plus the security of our friend Israel is always threatened. (check your history, Israel is our ally and a good ally to have in that region).
*The recent spat with Iran, proves we can't just leave well enough alone in the Middle East. Not in this lifetime do I want to see a country like Iran that publicly supports a known terrorist group in possession of nuclear technology.
There are some other positives that are irrelevant now and plus I wouldn't want to be labeled an intolerant, ignorant, NRA supporting, born-again Christian, anti-gay, pro-life, uneducated, uncultured redneck by some fellow liberal Firefly fan. This may come as a surprise but I actually voted for Gore in 2000 because I thought I would rather have somebody smarter in office, however that is what advisors are for. Nowadays, I would rather have a cowboy in office who tried to do the right thing even if their plan did not go smoothly. Sound familiar?

Actually citizen, you really should read a history book. The Nazi party only garnered about 35% of the popular vote in Germany. Since there were more than two political parties, 35% turned out to be enough. Most of the German population which was the other 65% did not want to join the National Socialist Workers Party aka the Nazi Party.

I was talking about America, not Germany, something plainly obvious if you read the words in my post.
Maybe you should read the those history books, I suggest a course in reading comprehension first though .

Don't tell me you haven't heard at least a few liberals and even conservatives call Bush a cowboy and seen cartoons/caricatures depicting him as a cowboy on the account of him being from Texas. I mean, I respect the fact that you want to try to have an open discussion about the Bush administration, but if you are going to praise those that agree with your politics and shoot down anybody that doesn't agree than why have a discussion at all?

I see you can pick up on minor flaws in written language but still can't quite seem to grasp the sentiment, but then MS Word’s grammar checking ability can't tell you what a sentence means now can it
