but I'd watch the McCarthyite suggestion that knowing about something equates you to that thing. It's a bad way to frame things when you equate information with association -- you know, that whole chilling effect on learning history and looking at opposing ideas?

Regarding Katrina, National Geographic predicted the outcome a year before it actually happened. Therefore, it was known that it could occur.
I read an interview with this guy in the Navy. He said the big navy ship was in the Gulf, waiting to go in. All the President would have had to say was "Go". And he was incapable of doing that.
Though maybe, just maybe we could deal with the shit happening in our country if the NATIONAL GUARD wasn't in Iraq. National=U.S.=NOT Iraq.
