well, you certainly aren't banned from joining Life Onboard Serenity, if you want! :D

Shanti led the way down the corridor. "Here's your room. Doc's quarters and the Infirmary are just there, and that over there is Darren's. He's our mechanic. There's some spare cushions and blankets in that locker. Maybe we can dig up something a bit nicer on our next stop."

She stands for a moment, hands on her hips. "I'll be in the galley, just up those stairs, when you're ready for something to eat."

by the way, wolf says you and pain and anyone else from the good old life aboard serenity is welcome to join the heart of haven, its set before firefly so none of the serenity stuff has happend yet.

"I don't know about cortex link-up." Shanti thinks for a moment, "You might ask Puro. He's our pilot. I'm sure he's got the bridge linked. And yes, Galley is just up there."

She leads the way up the steps, and the smell of baking bread fills her nostrils. She'd been worried that the yeast would set before the power was back to normal, but it seemed to be coming up very well.

Darren walked out of the engine room and headed for the galley. He was tinkering with a spare Fuel Injection Regulator as he walked into the galley. He sat down at the table unaware of Shanti standing near the oven and continued tinkering on the F.I.R.

Shanti turned and saw Darren working on a strange looking part, curious she said to him "What are you working on there Darren if you don't mind my asking?"

Darren still focused on the part said "It's a Fuel Injection Regulator. It measures how much fuel gets fed into the engine. This one here is one of the spares. I'm checkin' all the spare parts ta make sure they're all in workin' order."

"Oh ok then I won't bother you then." Shanti said before returning to the oven.

'Fuel injection regulator, regulates fuel to the engine' Shanti repeats silently to herself, committing it to memory as she checks the bread.

Coming back to sit at the table, she looks down at the schematics for the bank job. The words are useless to her, but she tilts her head as she studies the diagrams.

"Darren, sir, I'm sorry to bother you, but what does that say there?"

He glances over the part in his hand, "Secure Maintenance Shaft."

Shanti taps her fingers on the schematic, thinking outloud to herself, "And that's a shuttle dock, probably for private couriers.
And this here is the main entrance... and that's the inner vault."

"If a person were to go in the front doors, through the outter vault, to the inner vault, then they could just take the..." She hesitates as she tries to remember what Darren said, "maintenance security shaft to the shuttle dock..."

"Show ya my security shaft anytime ya want." Gail's voice booms from the door and Shanti stands back from the table, her head dropping subserviently.
