Wow, I just love this thread *heaves a heavy sigh*
Jayne is just a character but the man playing him isn't. By all accounts, AB is very sweet, genuine, intelligent, and of course, a bonafide hottie!! That's what makes us love him!! The whole package baby - 'cause what an incredible package it is!!
BTW - If anyone is interested, there's some fantastic appreciatin Adam thread(s) over at another site. If anyone is interested let me know - I'll message you the links. They are very good and the bunkmates are quite dedicated - as much as the "appreciatin' nathan" thread often reffered to by Followomal et al. 'Sides, sometimes the man himself pops in.

Women love Jayne for all that's been said, and for so much more.
There's the obvious bad boy thing. That's just hot. Add the soft heart underneath it and it's all over.
Next, he is smarter than he lets on. Think about it. He's good at his job... he has skills. He's an excellent shot, great tracker, (making him by default observent and patient, and what woman doesn't like that?)so on. Those things require smarts, people. He may not be educated, as some have said, but he's no fool. I think he uses the slow misconception to his advantage. Again, smart.
As for Jayne and Kaylee...I totally see it. I think the age difference (whatever it is) is actually kind of hot, and given how lusty both characters are I suspect they would think so too. Plus, there is that comfortable vibe between them. They GET each other. That matters.

And, AB is HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not just Jayne, but Danny Love, Animal Mother...oh yeah, and Adam as himself!! He's smart, thoughtful, articulate, got a sense of humour, and ohj yeah, he's over 6ft, has dark hair and blue eyes. And oh so fit!!

If the show went for more seasons there might have been some Jaylee (teency weency bits) but I don't see it ever developing. I'm a Rayne shipper *woo* Age difference smage difference - that kinda thing don't matter in the black But that's beside the point. Jaylee - never happening :)--
