Hey, NanoMoose. Have you ever read or watched anything by Jhonen Vasquez? He has several comics, The best know of which is called Johnny the Homocidal Maniac. He also did a cartoon show called Invader Zim. Any way, the point is that your name sounds like it could come from his head. There is a Mini Moose in an eisode of Zim.

Ooooh, if you only knew. Invader Zim is what got me into geekatry in the first place. I have all the Johnny comics. I love Jhonen Vasquez's work. I even own a Zim plushie (he has an enormous head. Seriously, it's so big he can't stand up). And yes, I probably should have added that my love of the word "Moose" probably stems from him. WHY am I so AMAZING?
Probably one of the most quotable cartoons ever, and yet also cut down during its prime. Sigh. It seems to be a trend with the shows I like. Witness Futurama.

Also I know what you're saying. Between myself and my two brothers, we own about everything Jhonen has ever done. All three volumes of Zim on DVD, all of JTHM, I Feel Sick, Squee, all the Filler Bunnies, and even the Bad Art Collection. Why we have that last one, I don't know. It makes me violently sick just thinking about it. But i think Jhonen has a similar response to it.
Anyway. Cool. I'm glad to find a fellow fan around here.

Well, judging by the fact that he has antennae and horrible green skin and big pink eyes and no ears, I think I'm going with my original assessment. (But, oh man, I would love a Dib plushie. He's so adorable and doomed.)
This conversation is amazingly off-topic, really. But yes, it is awesome to find another Zim fanatic...all the others I've meet seem to be mad slashers (the fanfiction term, I mean) or related to me.

We may be off topic but I, at least, am having fun. Besides, we're not the first ones to wonder off topic on a thread around here, I've seen several get hijacked by Malcaholics. Not on purpose you understand. It just kind of happens sometimes.
And I'm sorry about your shared fandom dilema. I, met several great Jhonen fans in general and Zim fans in particular. I hope you can find some more. And for the record, I would like a GIR plushie. I don't care which form. And did you know that they have pig and mini-moose plushies?
This is probably kind of confusing for anyone who's never heard of Zim huh.
Anyway, so as not to be rude to the folks who come to this thread to ttalk about screen names, perhaps we should continue this discusion elsewhere. We could start a new thread. Maybe there are some other Zim fans about.

It's shiny, off-topicness is a part of forum life.
Anyway, it's such a pity Jhonen said he would never work on it again. I look at Zim and then I look at Firefly and I marvel at the differences between the fanbases. The Zim fans always claim that one day it'll get back on the air, but the Browncoats are actually trying to live up to their claims. The Zim fandom community is...well. A little on the young side, really. But the love and devotion and determination in the Browncoat community is almost palpable. I love it so much.
Yeah, I think we should. Start a new thread? Find a few other Zim/Firefly fans? Sounds good to me.

Zim was one of my favorite cartoons. i have a ger patch on one of my cycling jerseys. it is kinda funny when people ask me about it. he is in his dog suit and it confuses people when i try and explain (since he looks nothing like a dog) so i just started saying "its ger" and not explaining anymore. i think we should all sing the doom song together though:
