erm ok then,
so a couple of summers ago i had to come up with an idea for an author name, at the time i was painting my bedroom- in the colours of purple and pebble. you can see where im going with this right?
the name's just kinda stuck with me, as everyone knows purple is so my colour. anyway now i use it for everything, and im identifiable to all everywhere i may wander. lol

I wanted to come up with a unique username, and thought of everything related to Firefly.
Although, I wanted it to be subtle. 'Cosmic' was the first word that came to mind. 'Fugitive' came a long while later, shortly after the embarrassing 'cropduster', which didn't quite work or fit in with the show. I'm so glad that I found a better word.
My screen name refers to my favourite character: River. Although, it can apply to Simon too. I love their relationship on the show.
In the past, my username has been linked to John Crichton from Farscape - which hadn't occured to me at first, although I don't mind, because it's another cool show.

Mine is fairly basic. I love to laugh and Wash always makes me laugh so it was a little shout out to my favorite pilot.

This is a great thread! Everybody has an interesting story. I, too, had wondered about some of the signatures and I'm glad to get the answers.
Mine is pretty self-explanatory. I guess this is still not known to some folks, so don't read below if you haven't seen the BDM!

The day I finally decided to register, I was in one of my "I miss Wash" moods and I'd noticed that FollowMal was handing out the brown coats, so I sort of followed the format of her name, coming up with "Save Wash," which is what I wish I (or Joss) could do.
