"Oh right sorry, distracted. This is where I plan to do most of my shopping, I forgot they aren't too keen on the frilly bits here. I will need one my pilots to get us out of here. I would appreciate your help here, but I understand your need to take care of other things over there. How about the frilly bit shoppers meet us back here when you are done. Anyone who whats to stay and help is welcome. I can get her space worthy in a day. If I push, I can even have the SEP up by then, so no worries with the 'distinctive ship' thing.

I tell you what, you head on and do the other shopping, if that's what you want, it's fine. If you give me a list of any of the 'less than entirely legal' stuff you want, I'll take care of that for you, and you can pick up these things for me...."

*Hands Seryn a list....she looks it over and gasps*

"Yeah, sorry. I do need to stay here, but I need those things too. Make sure one has the metal straps and the other velcro. and at least 3 pair of those, each with a different key... As for the needles and paper nightdresses...I'll take you. I know I'm not a part of that, but you are my friend and just in case a shoulder might come in handy, mine will be there. If that's ok? Set up your appointments, and you and I will take the Cloud . .....'less I've completely misunderstood again. Remember...Male = Daft. 'Specially when I'm this distracted."

SR shakes his head in dismay.

"I can tell we are going to have to work on our communication skills. If you want me to build a shuttle in one day you need to tell me in advance and not tell me we are going dirtside to go shopping, because somehow those two aren't interchangable in my book. I have quite a few impulse buys awaiting my purchasing power out there and you want me to build a shuttle?"

SR watches the wind drop out JH's sails.

"Okay, fine I'll help, but there better be beer."

Quincey steps out of the Nelson’s bathroom, newly showered, makeup expertly applied, long black hair falling down her back, and wearing her slinky red dress. She steps into her high-heeled shoes (that perfectly match her dress) and gracefully walks out of the shuttle’s main hatch into the rented hanger. “So! Who is ready to sample the night life on this planet?”

Deuce is sitting in a chair in the hanger, busy sharpening her pair of katanas. She is wearing simple grey sweats, short red hair disarrayed as always. She wipes a smudge off her face.

She laughs at Quincey. “You go on, Quin. I think I’ll pass. Your kind of club just isn’t my style. Besides, somebody needs to guard this place, once our stuff starts coming in. Oh, and I'm not sure we're all staying here.”

Squinting one eye, Deuce looks down each blade, and grunts with approval. She sheathes the weapons, puts them aside, and then begins her gymnastics workout with a couple of backflips.

No no, I don't expect you to drop everything for this SR. I'm not your captain. I'd just like you to give her the once....well, maybe twice over, once I have her done. I'll take care of the bulk of the work. Do your shopping. And anything you don't think you can get here, let the ladies see if they can pick it up.
Don't worry, I've gone over the details of the construction in my head many times, and I'm getting many of the parts pre-constructed. I only have to build a few from scratch. We're good brother, get your goods. Any help is appreciated, it's not required, eh?

MAI

Just so long as there are no froo-froo bows on the behind I'm not too picky when it comes to color. I'd say go with something that matches the season, but we've been ship bound so long now I'm not really sure what season it is.

*Sees the expression on LMD's face already glazing over with boredom*

I'm really glad you came. But if you'd rather stay here and play build a ship with the others I'd understand. 'Course it might not be a bad idea for you to come along with us either. Give us the guys perspective on all the pretties we try on.

Mai, Secretary of Unmentionables.

It's chocolate jacuzzi time?! Yay!

*mg does a happy dance, throws on her swimsuit, then joins the party in the jacuzzi*

Good thinking, Ath!

(OOC: I'm just going to conveniently ignore the fact that I've been gone for the last half dozen threads.)

"Bah, its not going to be that bad. I'm just feeling sorry for myself.

ok, so, apparently we have the hanger sorted already. We'll go get this platinum off our hands together. Then SR, the others and I will go purge our retail needs, while you get on with the ordering and make a start, while Bride2 growls at passers-by and Quincey breaks the hearts of every sucker on this rock.

*shouts* Hey Quincey, find us some decent rooms would ya? *throws purse over* Pay cash, don't tell them about the hangar here. Let JH know when you got em.

*to the guys*

That should see us all comfortable tonight anyway.

*watches Deus with a grimace*

does she have to be so gorram energetic? It aint even lunch time.

*they walk off*

Right then, let me get this straight. Is this talky negotiating? or are we going with the Corben Dallas Method?

Instead of welcoming back mg with an open heart and a case of Pepsi or ten, cozen elects, as ever, to be, well, cozenish.

He leads a rather reluctant Schwartz into the crawlspace directly beneath the jacuzzi. He then proceeds to remove from the llama’s back a laptop ‘puter, various pumps, tools, lengths of pvc piping, a hose or two, a couple of 50 gallon drums filled with vodka, and some electrical wiring. Accidentally managing to gain wi-fi access to the intercortex, he downloads several pdf files relating to… plumbing.

Basic Plumbing: eh, maybe.
Advanced Plumbing: Noooo….
Plumbing For Dummies: better….
Plumbing For Spastic Retards With An Equivalent IQ Nearly But Not Quite Approaching That Of Cucumber, Spelled Out With Single Syllable Words And Utilising Many Simplistic Drawings: bingo!

Finding the “chocolaty goodness feed” pipe, he drills a hole of appropriate diameter to accommodate a new pipe. He’s forgotten, of course, to turn off the feed valve, such that he and the llama are subject to a certain amount of chocolaty splattering, but Schwartz allows an existential sigh and plugs the hole with his nose until the correct connection can be welded into place. The jacuzzi’s choccy level drops an inch or two, but he is confident the Treefolk frolicking above him aren’t in any headspace to notice anything is amiss.

He turns on all the pumps required to send the vodka into the jacuzzi’s feed line.

For those in the jacuzzi, buoyancy ensues.

Glad I could help.
