So I wonder if the cancellation was all my fault?

I feel the same way. I never even heard of Joss until my brother gave me the DVDs to watch in August.I put it off for a couple a weeks because I thought "the show got cancelled how good could it be?" Now I've purchased my own copies of the DVDs, watched them twice, and went to the movie 4 times (5 after tonight). Fox might have the dumbest network executives ever *cough* Family Guy * cough*

You can't stop the signal!

Dropped out of the 4 nearest theaters to me. Theres one place showing it, in Santa Ana, and so its about a 20 minute drive on the freeway.

All this theater dropping news is making me sad.

Mal: Define interesting.
Wash: Oh god, oh god, we're all gonna die?

It's still in the big theatre near my house (20 screens), but only 2 showtimes, 4:10p & 10:15p. I'm definitely going to try and see it again! One of our boys suggested a family outing, as we've all seen it at different times, with different people.

Serenity is still showing in most of the theaters near me, Amerillo, Texas.

but i got a couple of questions as a newcomer. What does Gorram mean ( I think damn, but not sure) and what is BDM?

Big Damn Movie - "flans," (Firefly + Fans = Flans) will also use that in reference to many Firefly related things "Big Damn Blank" and fill in the blank with whatever, Kaylee is a Big Dam Cutie, etc. The phrase comes from the ep Safe when Mal and Zoe come to the rescue of Simon and River:
Mal: "Looks like we landed just in the nick of time.... what does that make us??"
Xoe: Big Damn Heroes Sir!"
Mal: "Ain't we just."

Gorram and Gorram it! Come from a small mining town in the southern hemisphere of the moon Shadow, Gorram. The mine that supplied Gorram with it's only economy blew up one day because a drunk miner chased a chicken into the mine one night with a torch and the chicken ran into the explosives cache. From that point on it signified a major screw-up, "Gorram It!" Some say that was also the sound the town made when the mine blew up, "Gorr-rammmm!"

New Series PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, surely tv bigwigs can't deny the quality and popularity of such a great show and film. One of the greatest viewing pleasures i have had the pleasure to witness deserves to be continued.
Please keep up the good work.

Serenity went from 30 theaters down to 19 where I live (12 dropped and 1 picked it up). Didn't lose any screens this week, although six theaters split Serenity out with another movie (which cuts in half the number of daily showings). A couple of positive notes, two theaters added an additional showing and there's still 70 showings a day around here.

I have to drive a gorram hour to get to the theatre I saw it at, and it's outta there, meaning I have to drive TWO gorram hours to see it again. Sadly, if I see it again, it'll be dumb luck.
