Indeed, but as far as I know Serenity isn't being pulled out of theaters worldwide yet. Many nations had a later release date than the USA.

I sure hope they manufacture enough DVDs.

Looks like the BDM is getting yanked from the Orlando market this Friday. Currently, it's only showing on 10 screens here. I'm going to make an effort to seeing it once more before it leaves, which should be easy considering Lost is a repeat this week.

In the Louisville, KY area, we're down to 5 showings combined between 3 different cinemas. I went and watched both Friday night showings for the cause.

Going again tonight with a couple friends (the magic 10th viewing)... I hope this isn't my last taste before the DVD.

Wallace and Grommit has enormous staying power! These guys are still rolling in the dough on the 3rd week out (US figures, 3rd weekend: USD 8.7 Mil. Total so far, USD 44.8 Mil.) Why? It's a G movie... As much as I like reality and swearing and blowing shit up in the movies. The G movies have always made money hand over fist. Why won't the studios make more of them?

Sadly, no one (theatre owners...) pays much attention to you once you go pass that 11/12th place... If you can't bring in the popcorn, it's not worth the money to rent the reel.

Serenity is down to #15 in total theater count:

Serenity:
871 theaters
-838 change from last week

At least "Into the Blue" is finally in fewer theaters.

Given the freedom to do so, anarchy will result in an organic organization unto itself.

Tonight im going to see serenity back to back for my 9th and 10th viewing. A last effort to support what my life has grown to revolve around.

Checked Hoyts web and it still has Serenity playing in 5 theatres in Victoria (Melbourne?). Queensland and South Australia don't have anything listed, but ACT, VIC, NSW and WA all do.
