Huh? Where did you get that? Just made it up?
What I heard is that its something Joss picked up from this school days in england, where its a regional dialect slang for "goddamn"

While some theaters may have dropped it, up here (in Northern WI), we have 3 new theaters carrying the movie. It takes time for new movies to hit the farther away theaters up here, so just remember while some cities and towns may be losing the movie, there are a whole bunch of others that are just getting it, which may help with the grosses.
I know I'm headingout for my 4th viewing this afternoon, and my dad is wrastling up his hunting buddies after a long day on the lake to see the movie in Rhinelander (where the movie is brand new). So hold out hope, just cos some theaters are dropping it doesn't mean new theaters aren't picking it up!!

Well I just saw it again a 1:05 showing near dc and the theater was pretty packed for this type of movie this long after its opening, pobably close to 50 people. Also there were quite a few families with smaller kids (say 6 to 13) and quite a few of those were girls who by all rights should have been at "dreamer" this weekend. So who-rah to those parents!

If it's any consolation (and good news!) to Browncoats:
We hit 36 days here, LOCKED in!
(Related Thread: http://www.fireflyfans.net/thread.asp?b=2&t=14279 )
Now extended for MORE days TWICE!

Not to mention, tonight it had at least 80 to 100 people in the one cinema, of varying ages, teens to 80 year olds! And that was the 6:30 p.m session!

Last weekend I was planning to go see Serenity, check my main theater and found it had been all but cut out (only two evening showings). So I searched and it is barely in any theaters here (major city market) and only late showings. The earliest I could find was one at 4:05. So we went to it.
Now the really interesting thing was the theater was virtually sold out! For the previous three weekends each time I'd seen Serenity there was almost nobody else in the theater (about a dozen people).
I think it'd be funny to see a Browncoat rally and SELL OUT every theater it's still showing in now!

Hey, support it best you can! I believe supporting this as far as we can will get Serenity restarted. Right now seems VERY "Out Of Gas", and the Fans are Mal. We need to get her running to get the Big Damn Button pushed.

It looks like Serenity is being completely pulled (at least from the Minneapolis, Minnesota market) this week. The last showing appears to be this Thursday. I'm going to try and gather a few people to see if we can make a serious showing at the 4:05 PM showing tomorrow (Wednesday).
I think if all the browncoats across america made an effort to go in the next two days we could make an interesting "blip" on the attendance / box office numbers.
I know people that will miss the movie because they haven't finished watching the DVDs in time.

Maybe if all of the Browncoats WORLDWIDE made an effort...
Remember, there IS a world outside the United States. {/friendly_snarkasm}
