The normal uniforms that occasionally 7 of 9, Troy, T’pol wear look so much better IMHO. I like having a little left to my imagination; I guess that’s why I was more attracted to Hosi than T’pol- plus Hosi has a personality and wasn’t a cardboard cut out of a character that was moved from scene to scene.

To clarify: I'm referring to a scene in either the pilot or one of the first few episodes where she and Trip were quaranteened in some kind of decontamination chamber for hours in nothing but shorts and t-shirt, and not about her uniforms in general.

No, you misunderstand me. I'm not saying she is not attractive. As I already mentioned, sex is no substitute for poor writing.
I've got my wife to look at (amongst other things), so I have no need or desire to admire some actress' body while I am watching prime time television with her, and I didn't mention it but she was slightly offended by it and it did nothing to increase her interest in the series.
Maybe sharing quality entertainment with your significant other is something you have yet to experience. I, however, did not find that scene to be quality entertainment, as you obviously did.
Besides, it's probably been 35+ years since my mother kissed me good-night. It sounds to me like your Freudian slip puts you much closer than I to mother-kissing-you-good-night age.

There is nothing prudish about it. Sex appeals to the lowest common denominator, as just about all television does today. To show T&A when they can't come up with anything intellectually stimulating is shoddy production. I am interested in science fiction for the intellectual stimulation, not the labido stimulation. So I don't watch TV much.
I'm simply explaining why I have not watched Enterprise past the first season when I saw it was Hooters In Space. The allegory would be: you may like Hooters (the restaurant, not the female attributes), I do not due to it being essentially a G-rated stripper joint, so I do not patronize them.
It's not being prudish, but that it simply disgusts me that men seem to be unable to think above the waistline and our market driven society fosters that mentality. I like to look at it as much as the next guy, but please, don't ask me to pay for it.
Enough already! It's obvious that those who disagree with this philosophy are exactly the ones the marketing suits have determined are the target demographic for shows that carry frivolous sexual content that adds nothing to the plotline other than to stimulate the labido. I am not here to convince you otherwise, and you can never convince me that it's worthy of the art of storytelling to include T&A just to boost ratings.

Yeah, I quit watching Enterprise after the episode in which Hoshi dropped out of a duct and (conveniently) caught her shirt on *something* (methinks a writer's outstretched hand ), dropping to the ground topless (cuz, ya know, who needs bras in the future, right? ) to open (I think it was) Mayweather's door for him...
