Why the EU can't be too hard on the US

AnthonyT, the French speak a horrible language in which they mispronounce one half of a word and don't pronounce the other half, they gesticulate wildly during their ostentatious conversations and their idea of a meal is bread with a choice of 50 different sorts of cheese, eaten over a period of several hours while talking about nothing and being incredibly pretentious while doing so.
They also had the nerve to make Americans call freedom fries "French fries", but this is one horrible mistake that the law-giver corrected.

Everyone mocks the French, hell, even the FRENCH mock the French...
That bein said, they've been fairly decent allies even when their country was half conquered, sent the Legion to assist us in WWI, helped us fight for our own *WITHOUT* immediately maneuvering us into a position for them to take over during the Revolution....
And they built, and sent us, the Statue of Liberty, an American Icon that (in theory) defines all that we are, and is placed prominently in our culture forevermore.
Yes, the Statue of Liberty is, essentially, a French chick holding Americas ideals in her hands to display them to all the world as something to be prideful, and respectful, of.
NEVER forget that.
That all bein said, I still mock the French, cause they're like Americas weird, geeky little brother, you can't not do it. 
I also point out that they have been, in the past 200 or so years, a bit smarter than us - they lopped off the heads of *their* imperialistic, neocon elites, and for many years thereafter, did not have to deal with the problems the bastards have caused us during the same time period.
