Not so Nippon Steel can build a totally automated steel mill close to the raw resources, sell cheap steel abroad, and ... as SIX said ... take the profit.

They own it so they can do that. Still, Americans will get jobs there. They are heavily invested in American.

Whatever the merits or otherwise of Joe Biden’s latest package of tariffs on Chinese goods, they signal the final death of early 21st century globalisation.
About time too, many will say. For too long, Western economies have been the victims of Chinese mercantilism. Trade with like-minded regimes by all means, but not with those that peddle an autocratic alternative to Western liberalism and democracy.

Zeihan is alone AFA projecting sn IMMINENT (next ten years) population crisis. I think that's why he goes past the population age distribution graphic so quickly, bc I didn't see an imminent crisis in it, and neither does anyone else.
