When he says the end of the world; as you know it is implied. He doesn't mean it literally.
When he says globalization is coming to an end; things as you've known them will be changing, is implied.
Why do we know the end of the world and the end of globalization are the same? It's called context. He is conflating them, bringing them together to make a larger point. That what is happening is huge, on a global scale.
Again, how do we know this? His talk is about globalization ending, therefore changing, ending, the world as we have known it. We realize these things as he goes on to explain how and why.
At least those of us that have good reading comprehension skills understand this.
