It's been shit for 3 years under Biden*. That's why his approval rating is below 40% right now and Trump's was 44.1% at the same time before election. Biden's approval rating in July was lower than Trump ever got in 4 years.

A bill that dropped Tuesday would add a tax to the sale of real estate over about $3 million. Revenue from that tax, estimated at just under $300 million every two years, would provide a funding stream to pay for affordable housing projects. The bill would also decrease the tax rate for property sales under $750,000.

Yeah. I agree with that. But I don't think there's a chance in hell it will pass in Nebraska, let alone anywhere else.
In fact, part of my 26 page appeal that I filed last year I told the county assessor that if they could find me a buyer at the ridiculous price they proposed that I would have all of my shit moved out into storage by the end of the week for the new owners.
They tried raising my property taxes by more than 88% and instead they only got 8%. Not bad... an 8% increase given how much local property values have gone up in the last 3 years and considering that everyone on my block who didn't fight it saw their property taxes increased anywhere from 20 to 80% over the previous year.
But really, Ted. How would anything like that pass? How would local counties pay for any of these properties? They'd have to raise property taxes to pay for them, and them politicians love them some free money so there's no way that everybody running shit in Nebraska is going to approve that. Just a bunch of rah rah pro-democrat bullshit without any substance is all this story is, and you'll never find out how it ends through the media because it's not going to pass and they don't want you to hear that part.
And this has absolutely nothing to do with Joe Biden*. He was the person responsible for everybody's property taxes going up so much in the first place because of his inflation. He fucked up the housing market along with everything else in the country in only 3 years.
