Second coat up. Been doing some general cleanup since then, but waiting for the paint to dry so I can see if it needs a third roll before I clean up the paint and the tools. I know it doesn't need a third brush.
So exciting. It looks so good.

Cool. 2 coats was all the dark color needed.
I don't know if you remember when I was painting the kitchen and living room Sigs, but I think I put a few pictures of what this same dark color looked like on the accent wall that spanned the entire first floor after only two coats. The sheen was off toward the ceiling and just looked really bad if you were standing anywhere to the side of the wall and not looking directly at it.
That didn't happen to either color here. I applied the paint thicker on both coats and also started the paint by putting a horizontal coat along the floor and the ceiling before going vertical along with some other things I did that are hard to explain in words. All things you don't have to do if you're not rocking the cheap paint.
I can already tell that at least 7 months out of the year this is going to be my favorite room. I can't wait to put my 2nd futon out there and take naps with all that fresh air.
Too late for that this year though. Today is almost certainly the last day to reach 70 degrees and we're in for a monster thunderstorm and then it's 50's for the next 3 or 4 days.
I'm going to try to install that foam board insulation at the bottom of the wall in the shed, but I don't know how easy that's going to be with all the wind and rain today. If I can get that done I can finally snap some finished pics of the shed before moving stuff back in there and finally taking my garage back. I have to make sure I get the rest of the trash out because tomorrow is garbage day. I'm going to just put the old roll up door out on the street. I've got plenty of metal to give my friend when he stops by without it, and I'm sure my neighbors have grown tired of it sitting in the middle of the sand pit for over a month and a half now. I know I have.

Out for my walk in a bit and I had to look up a weather channel to see what happened to that wind storm. Looks like it pretty much petered out before it could do serious damage. There were some power outages but nothing major and no major rain which is very much needed in my province. There are still fires burning and also some brush fires starting now at the sides of roads but these I think are being started by people with cigarette butts or maybe a piece of hot debris off of roads.

Finished the bottom wall/floor insulation and it worked out excellently. Cut up the rest of that 4x8 sheet to insulate the 11" gap on the far wall of the shed. I don't know if I'll actually insulate the whole roof out there, but I didn't need it for anything else and didn't want to just throw it away.
So the shed is pretty much officially done. I will be doing some electrical work out there and in the attic, but probably not until next year, so I was able to move a few big things back into the shed and out of the garage. Got a ton of cleanup done in the garage today and then I screwed all of the plug outlets into the wall in the porch.
All of the paint, tar and caulk is now inside and properly put away. What remains all fits on my paint shelf in the basement, so I don't have 10 gallons of paint on the floor in my coat closet anymore.
House cleanup day tomorrow, with a few minor tasks to wrap up out in the porch to go along with it. Need to finally do some chores. My old man is visiting on Friday to see all the new work.

Didn't get to too much house cleaning today. I'll probably get some done, but after being out in the cold and depressing wind most of the day I'm really not feeling it.
I finished cleaning up the garage, wrapped up the A/C unit for the year, turned off the spigots, and put the final light switch in the porch. I had to run to the store to get one since the only one I had was a damn 3 way switch I don't even know why I have. I think some idiot returned it in the regular box and only got $2 back for a $6 switch and I got stuck with it somehow.
Oh well...
I actually slept in until almost 9AM this morning. I can't even remember the last day I wasn't up before 7:30 or earlier.
I'm glad warmer weather is still making a comeback. I hate winter. :(
ETA: Wow. Glad I took the time to do the winterization today. I was just doing it out of convenience since I'm done painting and didn't need the hose after I finished using it today. I just checked the weather and there's a freeze warning tonight.
