Had I seen this trailer, I would never have watched the show.
Whereas I don't know what episode of Jamestown I watched, it was obvious that I watched the very first episode of Miss Scarlett and the Duke, because it appeared to be her "origin story".
Unlike the trailer which apparently is marketed to women who want to watch a nasty woman get her way and have the upper hand in every situation no matter what because "woman", that trailer is not at all representative of the show.
She's actually quite charismatic, and although she comes off as extremely sure of herself, that's not just because she knows she's good at what she aims to do but it's because of her own insecurities as well. She makes mistakes in the show, some of them having pretty terrible consequences, but then she gets back on the horse and works to correct them.
The trailer makes her look like a boring, intolerable Mary Sue. I can assure you that's not the case and (at least as far as the first episode goes), it's worth a watch.

What was funny was that about 20 years later I got him to watch both seasons of the show again after I'd watched it and he told me that Ironhorse reminded him of me.

My dad would usually tape stuff he rented for us with two VCRs, but my middle brother cried at the end of it and so my dad didn't record it and I'd never seen it again.

Boy... the forecast REALLY changed around me. We went from 75 degrees high and 67 degrees low tonight with no rain until tomorrow night to 73 high and 59 low with rain all day and night and a heavy thunderstorm tomorrow.
I guess I won't be putting the self leveling caulk down today.
I'll have to do some internet research on the product. Unbelievably, it doesn't say at all what temps to apply it or how long it takes to cure and be watertight. What a dumb thing not to have on this specific product.
We've got a LOT of nights in the 30's coming up that weren't in the forecast until November just a week ago, so maybe the hurricane is having unexpected effects or something?
I'm still not turning the heat on until November.
I'm hoping the caulk can go down any time it's not going to freeze in a 48 hour period. If that's the case, I should still be able to get it down before the snow falls.

I did a little bit of cleanup after rolling the first coat out. Aside from cutting down a few more boards, there's not too much I really can do though until I finish the insulation in the shed. I forgot that the very bottom needs "platforms" made out of my styrofoam insulation under the floor and some insulation shoved in between that and the insulation I put up on the wall because the floor of the porch actually "hovers" over the area between the shed and the porch. I want to get that all insulated before I move anything back in there. Not a job for today. I just want to get that last coat of paint up and maybe do a little cleaning.
One of my friends is going to pick up all my metal too, but even though I mentioned it to him 2 weeks ago it will probably be 2 weeks until he can get out here and get it. I'm considering just leaving it on the curb so I don't have to find a temporary spot for it that isn't in the way.
First coat looks great. I'm getting better at working with cheap paint that isn't advertised as one coat coverage. It's impossible to get one coat with this stuff, but at least I won't need to do three.
I just ordered my screwless decorative wall plates and a really sleek looking LED wall lamp for the fixture that was an outdoor porch lamp before the porch addition. Can't wait to get everything installed. I would have just picked up the wall plates at the store, but they're twice as much as I paid for them 2 years ago. At Lowes now they're 250% more than I paid 2 years ago!!!

Back from my walk and met up with one of the ladies who used to come in and help look after my mom. We had lunch together and nice long talk. She had an hour's break in her work and was hoping she would see someone. I had a feeling I would run into someone, just didn't know who.
