Only painted about 2/5ths of the ceiling after getting everything else done. I wasn't really feeling it today anyhow, but the clouds, wind and rain came in and I lost my sunlight, making it very hard to see the tiles overhead.
Unless I get some light out there tomorrow, I may not be painting the ceiling tomorrow either since its' supposed to be cold and rainy all day. I might have to figure out something else to do in the mean time. I will at least put the two finish coats up on the primed repair boards in the shed tomorrow if nothing else.

One thing that I did take out of the hoard basement was a stack of Pokemon cards about the size of a deck of cards. I never had any myself, but I knew that some of them were worth money.
Not knowing anything about them, I got pretty excited when I saw the prices some of them were going for. But then I found out that none of them are from the 1st edition sets and they all come from the 3rd edition. Still though, they're all about 20 years old and in pretty decent shape. The stack is probably worth around $400 if I took the time to put them up on an auction site and wait for the right buyers.
But that damn Charizard. If only it were 1st edition instead of 3rd. It'd be worth at least $10k in the condition it's in.

You know more about it than I do. I don't think I've ever been a super-fan of anything where I'd be able to pick out a lot of detail like that. You and my brother probably could have ripped Wolverine Origins apart for days when it came out.

I've got zero problem with accurate representation of the people who live here in media. It's stupid that there was pretty much only white leads for so long. My issue comes when they decide to do lazy race and gender swaps of existing properties instead of making new things. I would think a lot of minorities would feel the same way if they were asked and the media didn't hide the results they didn't want to publish.

Yeah. I agree. I only saw the 3rd one once and I don't remember anything about it except that Jessia Biel was in it. I saw that second one in the theater with my brother and was just blown away by that first scene when the vampires were exploding. If I were to watch it again now the special effects probably aren't all that great, but at the time it was thrilling to watch in the theater. Wesley Snipes as blade is one of my favorite comic book adaptations. The mood of those movies were just so cool too.

I think I may still try to finish that coat on the ceiling today despite the cold and dark. I'll have to see how the coat dried on the tiles I did yesterday first. It was pretty demoralizing looking up and thinking that I'd need a 3rd coat of enamel, but maybe I'll get lucky and it will look great when it's dry.
I think my main focus today though will be to get two coats on those repair boards in the shed so I'm ready to put the final coat on the tops and fronts of the shelves next week, cutting down some more crap boards from the attic now that I've got two empty cans for them and getting my paint inside. It's only going down to 38 tonight, but now that we're hitting the 30's at night I don't want to have 12 cans of paint and my huge bucket of foundation tar sitting out there overnight anymore. I'll just have to take paint from outside of the house as needed and bring it back in when I'm done for the day.

Out for my walk. On the hunt for a stand mixer, so I can do a bit of baking. My shoulder is still sore and it creeps down into my right hand, so yeah hand mixer not a great idea right now.

I learned a LOT about nerves and the spine lately! There are nerves that emerge from BETWEEN your vertebrae all up and down your spine, from your neck all the way to your butt, and they reach down your arms, around your ribs, and down your legs. If they are pinched at the point where they emerge from between your vertebrae they can cause pain, numbness, tingling, and eventually weakness all up and down the affected limb.
quite possibly the source of your pain is in your NECK. I would recontact your PT or Dr if possible bc you may have been midiagnosed. Or at least review what you're doing with your neck, and what may have changed. New pillow? New glases? New activity? Differrent posture? Recent strain or injury to your neck?
Another nerve pinchpoint is in the SHOULDER itself. There is a very narrow (2 mm?) gap in the shoulder joint to accomodate the nerve that runs down your arm. Exercises designed for your shoulder may aggravate swelling and inflammation in the shoulder joint, something you want to avoid.
NSAIDS (ibuprofen etc) might help relieve the inflammation. attention to neck posture (chin in, head up) and meds specifically designed for nerve-generated pain (gabapentin, pregabalin) really help, but they interact strongly with anticonvulsants so your would have to get the OK from your neuro.
Nerve pain is not to be messed with.

Back from my walk and stand mixer found and bought. Supper cooking of chicken legs with brussel sprouts and potatoes. Enough for the weekend and Monday incase I don't go anywhere on Turkey day.

I'll be okay SIG. And the last time I was in the PT's office I asked about a pinched nerve and she said no. It's all just taking a while to heal which is why I am trying to be as gentle as possible with my right arm.
My neck is messed up anyways from the brain surgery all those years ago. The PT heard it snap at my last appointment with her and I told her not to worry because it was because of the brain surgery. I do neck stretches when I am sitting in front of the computer and when I am watching tv. I am also doing the arm exercises that the PT has recommended.

I have no faith in PTs, especially PTs diagnosing things. They're not trained to diagnose, and since their specialization is physical therapy they will make the diagnosis fit the treatment that they have to offer. It's the old problem of "If all you have is a hammer everything looks like a nail".
In my case,the answer wasn't exercise or stretching or any of the cr#p they recommended, it was a new pair of glasses, and they weren't the ones that figured that out, it was me.
I think they're just blowing you off. If your condition progresses to numbness and tingling, I think you should escalate your complaint.
BYW, I don't necessarily believe everything doctors have to say, either. My doctor... and I like her and trust her quite a bit... took one look at my neck X-ray and wanted me to see a spine surgeon RIGHT AWAY. I didn't do that, either.
