Serenity Convention, Thistle Heathrow

"Serenity" Preview in LONDON !!!!!!!!!!!!!
""As many of you may have been reading on the internet, Universal
have
been conducting a series of test screenings of an advance print of
SERENITY to gauge audience reaction to the film.
At 6:30pm on Tuesday 8th February, Universal will be showing
SERENITY
for the first time outside of the US at a cinema in central London.
It is not a complete version of the film. The music score has yet to
be done, and the bulk of the special effects have yet to be
completed. It may also undergo further re-edits or changes between
now and the final release in September.
Chris Buchanan, the producer of SERENITY, and Michael Boretz, Joss
Whedon's assistant, thought it would be cool to let British
Browncoats have an incredible opportunity to see SERENITY a full 8
months prior to release!
They have kindly asked Universal to make a number of tickets
available exclusively to STARFURY to distribute to FIREFLY Fans.
So if you've booked to attend STARFURY: SERENITY, and you'll be able
to get to central London by 6:30pm on Tuesday 8th February, you
could
end up seeing SERENITY!
If you are a ticket holder for STARFURY: SERENITY and whish to go to
this screening, please e-mail me at SeanHarry@aol.com requesting
tickets. Please let me know your ticket number for STARFURY:
SERENITY
(it'll be strictly one film ticket per attendee).
Alternatively you can phone me on 07930 319 119 anytime between 10am
to 6pm Monday through Friday.
If any tickets are still available on Wednesday then we will make
them available for those who have not booked to attend STARFURY:
SERENITY as well."

OMG! That would be amazing! Shame i cant get down to London though. Need all the spare change I have for Starfury: Serenity. Its great that Chris Buchanan and Michael Boretz think of us in England. Hope some of you can make it and reassure us that this is gonna be the best BDM ever!

Although, those with their name on the list for the special screening can`t disclose the location, might I suggest the following.
I would like to suggest a `meet and eat` in the Pizza Hut at 29-31 Regent Street, SW1Y 4NQ at around say 5pm?
Anybody Interested? I can try to get a sign/ place marker made out to make i.d. easier.

Hi everyone; first post for me, scary...
I just booked a ticket for my first ever Starfury convention the other day (Serenity, obviously), but I'm having trouble regarding hotels...
Obviously the Thistle's now booked up for the weekend, but I don't theoretically have a problem with staying over the road at the Sheraton - however, ideally I'd prefer to share a room with some willing victim, er, roomie. As it is, the weekend's likely to burn a hole in my wallet, so anything I can do to economise would be fantastic...
I haven't had a great deal of luck over at the browncoats or the starfury boards, so I'm just wondering if anyone here might be willing? I don't snore, honest!

You might want to check out hotels or B&B places with the same area postcode (UB7) - http://www.milesfaster.co.uk/heathrow-hotels-london.htm this page could help (listing hotels around the heathrow airport, although you will still need to get to the main hotel for the con)

I wish I had the money to go, but since I live in the U.S., and I am very short on cash, I wouldn't be able to afford it. It's also very hard to find a job since I live in a very small town. 
It would be so cool since the convention starts the day after my birthday. I would be an awesome birthday present, but I know my mom would say no. I would only have to miss two days of school since school is out on the 29th. I so wish i could, but I just don't see it happening. 
. I've shown the web page to my mom, but she didn't say anything, so that's basically a big no. Well, I'm going to go to my room and wish I had enough money to go. Who knows, maybe I'll get lucky and come into some money, or at least end up with enough to go to the convention.
