When I was young I was taught to not like country music bc it was... well, country. But as I've gotten older I've also gotten to appreciate it, because it's about real stuff: life, loss, choices.
As I've mentioned, I really don't listen to music a lot. Usually when I'm doing something tedious that requires my eyes and hands, but not my ears, like kitchen work. So I kind of bumble around and have missed whole decades of music! Which is why I appreciate your choices: they introduce me to music I might not have otherwise known.
