But you certainly are being extremely naive here.

What on earth makes you think that you or anybody who agrees with you have the ability to shame anybody else by calling them stupid? Maybe you've been too buried in looking for crappy jobs when you didn't have that one crappy job for a short while and then spending the better part of 2020 making your helmet, but what you seem to be suggesting is some great new idea here is nothing that the left and the Legacy Media hasn't been doing for the last 4 years at least.

People tend to congregate with like minded people in real life and surround themselves in their echo chambers of choice. It's only in this age of internet where a lot of people have lost their filter on social media where it's bled into their actual relationships, because people who are supposed to care about each other say things they'd never say to somebody if they were looking each other in the eye. There are still countless relationships that were destroyed and likely will never be fixed in the aftermath of the 2016 election.

Believe it or not, I think that your "tactic" here is less likely to work in 2021 than it was when it was implemented in 2016. I get the sense that most of the real life relationships that were going to be ruined over politics were already ruined in 2016, and even though 2020 was a terrible year for most people and the election was pure horseshit from start to finish, a lot less relationships were ruined than four years prior because most of those lines had already been drawn in the sand.

Sigs is right here. This type of behavior only sows division. You're not going to change a single mind or shame anybody out of anything. This type of behavior is the reason why Trump got elected in the first place, and if you decide that you want to dig your heels in and do it for the next four years than don't be surprised if you get Trump's second term in 2024.

You all really should back off with the idea that a college degree means anything too, because in 90% of the cases it doesn't. It's nothing more than a highly priced extension of the conformity camps the State stops paying for after the first 12 years.

I get the sense that most of the real life relationships that were going to be ruined over politics were already ruined in 2016, and even though 2020 was a terrible year for most people and the election was pure horseshit from start to finish, a lot less relationships were ruined than four years prior because most of those lines had already been drawn in the sand.

Sigs is right here. This type of behavior only sows division. You're not going to change a single mind or shame anybody out of anything. This type of behavior is the reason why Trump got elected in the first place, and if you decide that you want to dig your heels in and do it for the next four years than don't be surprised if you get Trump's second term in 2024.

You all really should back off with the idea that a college degree means anything too, because in 90% of the cases it doesn't. It's nothing more than a highly priced extension of the conformity camps the State stops paying for after the first 12 years.

Exhibit A: How's your degree treating you on the job hunt front? Not trying to be a dick here, but asking you a legitimate question.

You not understanding that a college degree represents so freaking much more than the piece of paper, is just more proof of how much you missed by not getting a degree.

I know you think that's true, but it isn't.

Short of college parties, which you can go to all the time even if you don't pay for college, there's nothing you can do at college that you can't do at home... at least for 90% of the people that don't need college and aren't learning anything that matters.

Unless you ended up with a job innovating new technology or curing cancer, chances are you're not doing any job that requires any knowledge beyond a college degree.

Look at the studies done, particularly among millennials. Almost none of them are doing what they wanted to do outside of college and most will admit that they didn't need anything they learned in college to do the job they're doing today.

In a phone call Saturday, the president issued threats warning of legal repercussions if Brad Raffensperger didn't do as he asked.

During the hourlong phone call Trump not only practically begged Raffensperger to act, he also issued vague threats, implying that failing to do his bidding could lead to criminal liability.

Raffensperger and his lawyer repeatedly told Trump that the count was accurate and that Biden did, in fact, win the state by 11,779 votes. Trump was having none of it and insisted that he knew he came out on top. “Well, Mr. President, the challenge that you have is, the data you have is wrong,” Raffensperger said. The Post published a four-and-a-half minute cut of the audio that is worth listening to if for no other reason than to understand what a parallel universe the president is living in. It seems Trump has surrounded himself with conspiracy theorists who feed him false information that he then repeats as true without once providing any evidence to back his assertions. “There’s no way I lost Georgia,” Trump repeats over and over again in the call.

Even though Trump assures he won “by hundreds of thousands of votes” at one point he makes clear he doesn’t care about all that. “I just want to find 11,780 votes,” Trump said at one point. “Because we won the state.” At another point of the call he seems to issue vague threats that Raffensperger and his lawyer, Ryan Germany, could face legal repercussions. “That’s a criminal offense,” he said. “And you can’t let that happen. I have to deal with Trump lovers all day at work. Not one of them has enough self-awareness to see that their problems can never be solved by changing the government to their liking because their problems are internal to their bodies and minds. Regarding strategy, we must ask: “Why is it that, given the historical realities of the past seven decades, the United States and its presidents too often did so poorly? Why did they not make better strategic calculations in committing the nation to major military interventions?” Of course, the West won the Cold War. But that war never went hot. The wars that did go hot have plagued us the most. One reason is that in those cases brains and intellect were never fully applied, leading to misjudgments, mistakes, and misperceptions that ultimately created failure. Brains and intellect alone have been insufficient to inform and educate the elected leadership, to inculcate in its members a complete understanding of the grim fiscal realities and the current dangers to the U.S. military of uncontrolled internal cost growth.

Obviously, no sensible person would advocate rejecting the use of brains and intellect, especially not in the tortuous problems affecting vital national security issues. The key question is how best to apply brains and intellect. Too often, other factors have taken precedence: domestic political pressures, appointment of civilian officials to key positions whose success in winning elections was not matched by the ability to govern, ideological convictions, flawed assumptions, narrow bureaucratic or parochial interests, disregard of budget realities, the use of money as an alternative or palliative, normal human frailty, and intellectual laziness. All these have negated or overridden the need for a rigorous, relevant, and above all objective intellectual framework. Such a framework would be a “brains-based approach,” working from a mind-set appropriate for the twenty-first century.

For example, despite the experience of the senior members of George W. Bush’s cabinet, no one seriously asked or answered the “What next?” question about Iraq during the buildup to that war in 2002 and 2003. No one considered what needed to be done once Saddam had been dethroned.

The Obama administration was made to look impotent by drawing “red lines” against Bashar al-Assad’s conduct in Syria and demanding his ouster without the means or a plan to make good on that threat. Regardless of the arguments for or against a strategic pivot to Asia, the manner in which the strategy was announced scared allies and friends and provoked China. In any case, the situation in the Greater Middle East soon deteriorated, and the pivot was eclipsed by the need to “rebalance” forces to that theater.

Pre and Post Election polls aren't going to be right if they forgot to rig them as much as they rigged the actual election.

Anybody with half a brain knows that this means that they ended up having to pull a whole lot of unexpected 11th hour cheating since Trump did even better than they imagined he would.
