But you certainly are being extremely naive here.

What on earth makes you think that you or anybody who agrees with you have the ability to shame anybody else by calling them stupid? Maybe you've been too buried in looking for crappy jobs when you didn't have that one crappy job for a short while and then spending the better part of 2020 making your helmet, but what you seem to be suggesting is some great new idea here is nothing that the left and the Legacy Media hasn't been doing for the last 4 years at least.

People tend to congregate with like minded people in real life and surround themselves in their echo chambers of choice. It's only in this age of internet where a lot of people have lost their filter on social media where it's bled into their actual relationships, because people who are supposed to care about each other say things they'd never say to somebody if they were looking each other in the eye. There are still countless relationships that were destroyed and likely will never be fixed in the aftermath of the 2016 election.

Believe it or not, I think that your "tactic" here is less likely to work in 2021 than it was when it was implemented in 2016. I get the sense that most of the real life relationships that were going to be ruined over politics were already ruined in 2016, and even though 2020 was a terrible year for most people and the election was pure horseshit from start to finish, a lot less relationships were ruined than four years prior because most of those lines had already been drawn in the sand.

Sigs is right here. This type of behavior only sows division. You're not going to change a single mind or shame anybody out of anything. This type of behavior is the reason why Trump got elected in the first place, and if you decide that you want to dig your heels in and do it for the next four years than don't be surprised if you get Trump's second term in 2024.

You all really should back off with the idea that a college degree means anything too, because in 90% of the cases it doesn't. It's nothing more than a highly priced extension of the conformity camps the State stops paying for after the first 12 years.

Exhibit A: How's your degree treating you on the job hunt front? Not trying to be a dick here, but asking you a legitimate question.

You not understanding that a college degree represents so freaking much more than the piece of paper, is just more proof of how much you missed by not getting a degree.

I agree, division = bad. I said Trump was the most divisive president we've ever seen, by design. So were you calling out Trump during the last 4 years for being divisive? So why now?

I know you think that's true, but it isn't.

Short of college parties, which you can go to all the time even if you don't pay for college, there's nothing you can do at college that you can't do at home... at least for 90% of the people that don't need college and aren't learning anything that matters.

Unless you ended up with a job innovating new technology or curing cancer, chances are you're not doing any job that requires any knowledge beyond a college degree.

Look at the studies done, particularly among millennials. Almost none of them are doing what they wanted to do outside of college and most will admit that they didn't need anything they learned in college to do the job they're doing today.

The first draft of anything is shit. :)

The division was caused, at least in part, by the media and the deep state. They endlessly slagged him DURING his campaign, and endlessly - and unfairly- slagged him as "racist" for his border protection policies, then we heard how "unfair" the electoral college was and that we should change the Constitution, then we spent three-and-some years hearing that he was "Putin's puppet", a traitor, or worse and that he only won because of the Kremlin's help.

Then there were "leaks" from his office that he was unfit to be President. Then there was "quid pro quo" ... an allegation entirely unsupported by the transcript. There are at least a half-dozen other lies that were told about Trump in the media. I can't think of ANY President who was so repeatedly and unfairly and deliberately targeted for defamation while in office. On top of that, the media endlessly portrayed Trump supporters as idiots, racists, rubes, retards, or worse. It was all highly inflammatory. Nowhere was propaganda-free reporting to be found

By contrast, look at Obama. He did some really horrible shit to the American people, the military, and the world, but the media covered his ass and buried all of HIS offenses, plus he was a smooth talker.

Yanno, it IS possible to discuss Trump's POLICIES objectively. Focus on WHAT HE HAS DONE instead of what he tweeted or what people "said" about him. If we focused on WHAT PRESIDENTS HAVE DONE, and actually tried to determine the truth instead of burying ourselves into the hivemind, and applied that to Obama, and GWB, and Bill we wouldn't have been re-electing such a-holes.

I've tried to discuss Trump's policies many times (As you know, I didn't agree with all of them) and for my pains I was constantly slagged as a "Russian troll" simply because I wasn't hopping on-board with the relentless media narrative (lies).

You people ... the ones who carried on with that divisiveness ... YOU should be ashamed of yourselves for being so weak-minded and gullible, for behaving like a lynch mob and trying to hammer dissenting opinion into the ground.

And being driven by a dishonest media is no excuse.

See what I mean, CC? These people are delusional. Either that, or they're stone-cold liars.

WISHY wants to genocide the world, but doesn't realize that she, herself, would be the evil authoritarian "fascist" if she did that.

REAVERBOT excuses/denies violence by Antifa/BLM; he lives in a fantasy-land.

And except when REAVERBOT is denying violence, IT and THUGR have -literally- nothing to say except "Russian troll".

There's no "discussing" anything with these people.

Now, you tell me: Who are the divisive people around here? And who drove them to the end of the mental spectrum?

Deep state stands for dedicated educated professionals. Those who wish to undermine the government for nefarious reasons describe them differently.

You have to exclude the the mainstream media because they are fair and honest. But yes some other forms of media did help create the divide. Facebook, Twitter, Fox far-right media to name some. Actually though Sig, the main culprit was your boy Trump who you supported, and still support completely.
