Key, wrote that “over most of the United States, the conduct of elections is the most neglected and primitive branch of our public administration.” Although Key wrote this in 1949, most observers of the 2000 Florida recount might conclude that his observations were still true. There is no way to fix this system as long as it is split up into 50 states, territories, P.R., D.C. and thousands of counties doing their own count whatever way the local politicians feel like doing it. It is the beauty in action of the American Constitution. Can’t fix that because it was perfect when George Washington signed it and shall always be perfect, forever and ever. But I guess Congress could pass a law to bribe the local politicians to change their ways and punish the politicians that won’t change primitive vote counting methods by Congress withholding money from going to that county.

The security of voting machines was the main topic of the fourth morning session. Three specific ideas proposed were: developing an optical scan system with a feature that shows what the optical scan is reading along with an optical scan confirmation screen; developing a system where a voter can pre-load their choices into a voting machine; and using the internet to “pre-vote” to study how close we can get to internet voting. Also, cryptographic auditing was discussed as a way to openly audit voting systems. The particular cryptographic system proposed provides a receipt with a tracking number that the voter can use to confirm online that their vote was cast. The hope is to include cryptographic auditing in the voting process, but not to change the voter experience. Lastly, techniques were discussed that can be used to improve the security, reliability, and transparency of voting machines.

Residual Votes Attributable to Technology: An Assessment of the Reliability of Existing Voting Technologies
{W}e find that in presidential elections, traditional paper ballots produce the lowest rates of uncounted votes (i.e., “residual votes”), followed by optically scanned ballots, mechanical lever machines, direct register electronic machines (DREs), and punch cards. In gubernatorial and senatorial races, paper, optical scan ballots, and DREs are significantly better in minimizing the residual vote rate than mechanical lever machines and punch cards. To be clear, although coverage has improved to more accurately describe what’s going on in the US, the media failure to report the facts much earlier is inexcusable. Considering that corporate media ran op-eds (e.g., The Week, 8/11/20; USA Today, 8/16/20), letters to the editor (e.g., Washington Post, 8/21/20), stating the undeniable fact that Trump has been trying to steal the election months in advance, in addition to reporting on Trump’s subversion efforts in real time, they cannot credibly feign ignorance.
However, while corporate media appear to have stopped downplaying Trump’s election theft efforts for now, they have also run cover for the Republican Party’s complicity in enabling and actively assisting Trump’s efforts, as Trump cannot steal the election on his own.
The New York Times report “Who’s Going to Tell Him? Republicans Shy From Asking Trump to Concede” (11/10/20) employed the language one would use to describe family members unsure how to confront an embarrassing relative, rather than a major political party enabling election theft with its silence. The lackadaisical report described how neither major factions of the Republican Party—Trump’s “most ardent followers” who defend him “at all costs,” or the “tenuous, strained alliance with the rest, who share his agenda but often cringe privately at his language and tactics”—are “particularly well suited for the chore of trying to persuade Mr. Trump” to “step aside,” or to “stop spreading claims about the integrity of the nation’s elections that are contrary to considerable evidence.”
At other times, corporate media articles like Axios’ “The Electoral College Play” (11/11/20) reported on the Republican Party’s coup attempt as if it were a mere competitive sports strategy:
As the weaknesses of President Trump’s legal cases to overturn Joe Biden’s win become clearer, Republicans are talking more about the Electoral College — hinting at an extreme last-chance way for Trump to cling to power.
What we’re watching: In this long-shot scenario, Trump and his team could try to block secretaries of state in contested states from certifying results. That could allow legislatures in those states to try to appoint new electors who favor Trump over Biden.
When Trump’s “most ardent followers” like Secretary of State Mike Pompeo stated in a press conference that “there will be a smooth transition to a second Trump administration” in response to a question about whether the State Department is preparing to coordinate with an incoming Biden administration, corporate media didn’t report on Pompeo’s shocking remarks as if he was an accomplice to an attempt to overturn a democratic election:

Donald Trump desperately wants you to believe the only reason Joe Biden won the 2020 election by so many votes was because it was the "most fraudulent election in history." Trump served up his latest variation of this fallacy on Fox Business on Sunday morning, saying "we have so much evidence" to support his claims but the judges "won't allow us" to submit it.
That's a lie. The truth is Trump's lawyers have had numerous opportunities to present the so-called evidence of voter fraud, but haven't. Why? Simple. There is no such evidence. Trump's own lawyers -- including Rudy Giuliani -- have repeatedly admitted in court cases from Arizona to Pennsylvania that they are not even alleging voter fraud in those lawsuits. The obvious reason being they can't prove the claims.
There's a difference between what a client can scream in public and what a lawyer can say to a judge. As a lawyer myself, I know how it's drilled into our heads from law school that you could be disbarred if you intentionally lie to a judge. We have a "special duty as officers of the court" to be truthful to the court.
Hence, Trump says one thing to the media and his lawyers tell a vastly different story to the courts.
Trump can keep repeating his claims the election was "rigged," "fake," a "hoax" ... yadda, yadda, yadda. After four-plus years of Trump, we all know his go-to buzzwords.
The truth is that Trump has been given his day in court to prove his case and he has failed -- over and over. Thanks to these lawsuits, it's clear that at this point the only fraud in the 2020 election is Donald Trump.

Since I used to receive samples for potential prosecution, I know all about chain of custody.
THERE IS NO CHAIN OF CUSTODY ON MAIL-IN-BALLOTS.
Chain of custody would require that not only would the ballot be bar-coded with a matching bar-code on the outer envelope, but that the envelope be signed with EVERY CHANGE OF HANDS, beginning with the voter's signature and continuing with the person whoreceived it next. It between signatures, it must be kept in a secure (locked) place to which only a limited number have a key. If you want to be REALLY fussy about COC, you sign it from yourself and into the secure storge.
Since there's no chain of custody on mail-in-ballots there's no way of knowing if these are legitimate votes. Outer (security) envelopes without proper COC and authenticated signatures should be REJECTED, as any unsecured evidence would be rejected in a court crriminal case.
I imagine it's possible to do mail-in-ballots and have it worth the paper it's printed on, but not the way it was done.

Marofsky said that during ballot processing, a machine extractor opens the ballots. Some ballots were damaged by the extractor and unable to be scanned successfully, she said.
"According to the scanner manufacturer, Hart, the best practice to deal with damaged ballots that cannot be scanned is to transcribe the votes on each ballot to a clean ballot and scan the clean ballot," she said.
The chief clerk of the Delaware County Bureau of Elections then instructed elections staff to manually transcribe the damaged ballots.
The damaged ballots were directly next to the new ballots, and damaged ballots were preserved while bipartisan observers watched closely, according to Marofsky.
Pennsylvania's Election Code states that, "If any ballots or district totals cards are damaged or defective so that they cannot properly be counted by the central automatic tabulating equipment, a true duplicate copy shall be made and substituted for any such damaged ballot or card."
All ballots of this sort are labeled as "duplicate" and contain a serial number that is documented on the damaged or defective ballot.
Marofsky said the video "baselessly and wrongly attacks the integrity of election staff and the completely transparent process by which votes are being counted in Delaware County."

The answer to this question is self evident, but I'll spell it out for you.
Biden* bragged on TV about how he extorted the Ukraine government to remove the AG that was investigating the company that Biden*'s son was a board member of, having never had any experience in the industry, yet making $60,000 per month. The Legacy Media has either defended him or just let the story disappear from headlines because Biden* is quite obviously their guy.
Meanwhile, Trump has been accused of crimes ranging from a bad taste in cuisine to Treason by the Legacy Media every single day for the last 4 years straight. I'd be worried about what they'll try to do to his family too if I were him.
All that being said... Show me video proof he even said he was going to do this. I don't believe a fucking thing the Legacy Media says. Going to need more than some anonymous sources.
