DHS AND Trump called it the most secure election ever. Given that all his bullshit lawsuits were thrown out because he had no PROOF, I think it's safe to say Trump lost, and not by a little.
He got smoked. America hates him, and we want him to go away.
His insistence that it was rigged is to be expected from a narcissistic cult leader. NO other president has acted like that.
With such a mental trainwreck as Trump in office, there is no normal. Normal is out the window. It is and always was only about his ego.
He can't accept failure, because in his mind, he is a legend and a huge success.

From RUSSIA!!!RUSSIA!!!RUSSIA!!!. But not from internal home-grown potential malfeasance.
And ... NOBODY running the elections is going to say they were rigged! you nitwit. That'd be like them saying they themselves were corrupt, incompetent, or both.
But there are potential red flags, JUST LIKE THERE WERE IN 2004 ... except even more-so.
† the discrepancy between presidential votes and senatorial votes
† the pattern of vote-shift over time from what should have been random reassortment of mail-in ballots
† the discrepancy between exit polls and votes (that was the sole reason for the statistical analysis of the 2004 vote)
† a comparison between places that voted for Biden and those that didn't when it comes to historical, time-dependent, and vote-comparison anomalies
These things should be looked at by a completely independent organization using statistical experts - just like after the 2004 elections - and which generated the Mitofsky Report. This examination should be TOTALLY apolitical, because at this point neither party is trusted by about half of Americans to be truthful and unbiased.
And if statistical anomalies are found, like in the Mitofsky Report, THIS TIME they need to be followed up on, to find the cause(s)- and fix it(them).
The 2004 election was definitely rigged. Though how that happened nobody knows since the issue was dropped like a hot potato by BOTH parties, and there was no follow-up.
What about THIS time? Do you have any basic disagreement with a thorough examination of the vote? (Of course you do!) And why?
My argument is this: if I may take a page from Signy, who posts "I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.", after 2004, why do we still have our rickety, hodgepodge, error AND fraud prone voting system? Don't our politicians care to fix it?
And if democrats don't do any different, how are they any better?

Voting doesn't matter anymore.
It's a sham, through and through.
They got their Establishment candidate they wanted in 2004, they got their Establishment candidate they wanted in 2020.
Joe Biden is GWB.

Maryland Republican Kimberly Klacik sets new standard for election denial | COMMENTARY https://www.baltimoresun.com/opinion/editorial/bs-pr-ed-1112-klacik-tr
ump-fraud-claims-20201111-2lijoz4fmnazrf372jg6g3ehk4-story.html
If failed Maryland congressional candidate Kimberly Klacik’s goal was to reveal how ridiculous President Donald Trump’s claims of voter fraud are and how absurd his refusal to admit defeat, she could scarcely have devised a better scheme than to cast herself as a similar Election Day victim.
After all, Ms. Klacik did not merely lose (for the second time in seven months) her bid to capture the 7th district seat once held by the late Rep. Elijah Cummings, she was defeated in something akin to an electoral tsunami. For most political observers, this was absolutely no surprise.
She fared only slightly better than Republican candidates have in this Democratically gerrymandered district in elections past. But Ms. Klacik decided to go full Trump and post on social media baseless suggestions of fraud along with the false claim that she actually beat her opponent, Rep. Kweisi Mfume, on “day of & in-person early voting, along with absentee," when, in reality, she lost to him in all three categories, and overall by a vote of 72% to 28%.
---
It looks like she won, if you discard all the votes she didn't receive.

Fox Business Network host Lou Dobbs is all-in on President Donald Trump’s absurd, scattershot, and completely baseless conspiracy theories that he has somehow won the 2020 election — and he will accept no Republican dissent from this alternate reality.
Speaking with Congressman Devin Nunes (R-CA) on his show on Friday evening, the stridently pro-Trump Fox host demanded to know why the rest of the GOP has not stepped up to defend the president’s election fraud claims, even as they are refuted by his own government and continue to fall apart under the slightest scrutiny.
“You know, the president doesn’t want a statue erected to him. What he wants is a free and fair election and honest results,” Dobbs angrily said to Nunes.
“Right…” Nunes began.
“And it’s being denied to him…Dobbs said, cutting off the Congressman while notably citing no proof to back up his false claim. “It’s outrageous, and what I — if I may — what I’d like to know is what in the hell is the Republican Party doing to defend and to, I mean, why not just say we’re not going to accept the results of this election? It’s outrageous.”

It took an entire team of 9 statisticians, a lawyer, and an organization with a will to know, to show that the 2004 election was rigged. (Mitofsky Report)
Do you think (now THAT'S a question!) that someone is just going to glance at some ballots and figure 2020 out? Or that anyone involved is going to admit it if it means jail-time?
But wouldn't YOU want a team of completely independent, non-partisan academicians looking at 2020 to unscramble the obvious troubling numbers?
And why not.

'That Was in the Teleprompter': Fox News Host Casts Doubt on News He Just Read About Lack of Voting Irregularities

ox-news-host-casts-doubt-on-news-he-just-read-about-lack-of-voting-irregularities/ar-BB1b15a9?ocid=uxbndlbing
Mediaite reporter Colby Hall described the moment as "the dissonance between the news and opinion side at Fox News neatly displayed in one 30 second clip."
There is an apparent discord between the Trump-friendly network's more traditional news programming and its opinion programming, which includes the likes of Fox & Friends and Tucker Carlson Tonight.
The Fox News news desk has projected Biden as president-elect and became one of the first major networks to call Arizona for the Democratic candidate, a decision that reportedly made Trump irate.
Trump's repeated claims of widespread voter fraud and other election irregularities have arrived without substantial evidence, and the campaign's legal challenges to ballot counts in several states Trump lost have seen little success in the courts.
Two Department of Homeland Security executive committees released a joint statement on Thursday calling the 2020 election the "most secure in American history."
But Hegseth has previously suggested there could be instances of widespread voter fraud. On the November 7th Fox & Friends Weekend broadcast, Hegseth and his two co-hosts sparred over the topic.
Addressing whether the "potential fraud" is "systemic" and "enough to swing the election" back in Trump's favor, Hegseth said it seemed reasonable for Americans belonging to any political party to question the results and say: "'I don't have trust in institutions and I want to verify. I just want to make sure that all of this is on the up and up.'"
Co-host Jedediah Bila responded to Hegseth's remark, asserting that allegations of widespread voter fraud "need to be backed up," which she wasn't seeing.
"When you say this stuff, it makes people feel like they can't trust our democratic process, that they can't trust the electoral process," Bila told Hegseth. "If that is truly the case, if there is widespread, massive fraud happening that could affect the outcome of this election, then we need to know about it. However, if that is not happening, then these statements can be incredibly dangerous in terms of how voters view the process. We have to be able to trust this process."
Hegseth responded that while he agreed "allegations of fraud or irregularities need to be backed up by evidence," restoring faith in the electoral system "does not depend on asking people to have faith in the most irregular election in our history."
"The way you restore faith is by putting the evidence and research and investigation into ensuring that is the case," Hegseth said.
Bila once again asked for an example of such evidence. Will Cain, the program's third co-host, told her: "You have to look in order to get it, Jed."
Meanwhile, one week has passed since the Trump campaign, along with the Republican Party, began looking for tangible proof that could back up its claims of fraud inside a courtroom, producing few results. One campaign lawyer broke with Trump's messaging while appearing in an Arizona court on Thursday, claiming that the campaign is "not saying anyone is trying to steal the election" but rather "good faith errors" were made during the ballot count.
The campaign withdrew the lawsuit the next day, which had requested that a number of ballots be recounted in the state claiming Biden's lead in Arizona is too big to make a difference, CNBC reported.

What I've repeated over and over through the years is that the US had never really used the power of the vote.
But for that vote to be effective, it first needs to be HONEST. (You ARE familiar with the concept, aren't you?) What could be so bad about making sure the vote is HONEST?
And if it's found that the vote has been monkeyed with - as it obviously was in 2004 - then the system needs to be fixed to eliminate those vulnerabilities that allow manipulation.

Quote:Ask yourself why there is still an electoral college despite the fact that guys who dreamed it up decided it did not work as intended? Almost none of the Founding Fathers’ assumptions about the electoral system proved true. For one example from many: The assumption was that each elector’s vote would be counted. But over time, all but two states (Maine and Nebraska) passed laws to give all of their electoral votes to the candidate who wins the state’s popular vote count. Less than 50% of the popular votes would still give 100% of the electoral vote from the state to one candidate. Any semblance of elector independence has been fully wiped out.

1kiki, ask yourself why the American voting system is ridiculous. It is a fact that elections in America have thousands of different governing bodies controlling Federal elections, doing things differently in each county, but in other countries there is only 1 governing body. Why does America have a completely ridiculous setup? For one example of a rational election system: Elections Canada is the non-partisan agency responsible for the conduct of elections in Canada, including federal elections, by-elections and referendums. It is headed by the Chief Electoral Officer.

I would never ask myself such a stupid question, even though you seem to ask yourself the same stupid question over and over. The reason I don't ask myself that stupid question, and the reason why it's so stupid, is because the answer is obvious: it's STILL in the Constitution as the ultimate law of the land. If you want to get rid of the Electoral College, you need to change the Constitution. And not enough politicians want to bother with it to get it done. That's why we still have the Electoral College. The voting system has thousands of different government authorities operating it, but that is a ridiculous way to build a system, unless you want thousands of different ways to cheat. Apparently, the thousands of different counties want a way for the local big shots to change the vote count in those counties. I guess your complete disinterest in the fact that no other country has an electoral college, another system that never worked as intended, explains a great deal about you. That system doesn't get changed because it allows cheating and manipulation by the state governments. See the 2000 Election for how that worked to the advantage of Florida governor Jeb Bush, who wanted his brother to be President.

You are a Russian troll. You prove it with every post. Why do you think that Americans are going to listen to your bullshit?
Our election system, along with everything else about our government, is due to politicians selling out. There are only a few who don't. That's how the game is played, thanks to a court decision that was hailed by the right, not the left.
We will not have representative democracy until that is fixed, and it looks like the Republicans will refuse and resist all the way.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) on Monday shocked the political world after Georgia’s Republican Secretary of State accused him of election interference.
“Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said Monday that he has come under increasing pressure in recent days from fellow Republicans, including Sen. Lindsey O. Graham (S.C.), to question the validity of legally cast absentee ballots in an effort to reverse President Trump’s narrow loss in the state,” The Washington Post reported Monday. “In a wide-ranging interview about the election, Raffensperger expressed exasperation over a string of baseless allegations coming from Trump and his allies about the integrity of the Georgia results, including claims that Dominion Voting Systems, the Colorado-based manufacturer of Georgia’s voting machines, is a ‘leftist’ company with ties to Venezuela that engineered thousands of Trump votes to be left out of the count.”

Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. Uses Alleged GOP Vote Cheats to Claim Texas Counterpart's Fraud Reward

"A week ago, Texas Lt. Gov. Patrick offered up to a million dollars for proof of voter fraud. Easy money with 150+ votes & @realDonaldTrump's claim of vast fraud," Lichtman wrote.
"Nope. No takers. Confirmation of DHS finding that this was the most secure election ever. Money talks, BS walks."
"I was a taker," Fetterman replied. "Actually, we had two documented cases of voter fraud in PA. They both involved Republicans voting for either dead or living relatives. I even let my Texas colleague know. Easy money?"
"I'm waiting for our $2M from Lieutenant Governor Patrick," he said, before linking to articles about the two cases of alleged voter fraud in Pennsylvania. The two men charged, both registered Republicans, had separately attempted to vote on behalf of a dead parent.

Sen. Graham’s attempt to overturn Georgia results confirm soft coup plans
https://www.peoplesworld.org/article/sen-grahams-attempt-to-overturn-g
eorgia-results-confirm-soft-coup-plans/
Until now, some have explained support for Trump’s refusal to concede by people like Graham, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, and House Republican Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy as nothing more than their wanting to give Trump’s bruised ego a chance to come to terms with his defeat.
Graham’s criminally coercive phone call to Raffensperger, however, shows that he and other top GOP lawmakers are actively participating in laying the groundwork for a possible soft legal coup if they can get away with it, keeping Trump in office despite his electoral loss.
Even if that is not the case, the actions of Graham and other leading Republicans are laying the groundwork for perhaps one-third of the U.S. electorate to never accept the results of the 2020 election. They hope this will strengthen their hands in the Senate and House as they sabotage a Biden administration on an ongoing basis.
It is clear that had the final outcome of the race come down to only one state, they would have had a much greater chance of pulling off the soft coup option than they have now. Instead, they have to wage attacks on election officials, file court cases, and explore sending alternate slates to the Electoral College in mid-December in several states while simultaneously delaying the transition to a Biden administration.
The criminal phone call to Raffensperger by Graham shows they haven’t totally given up on all of their soft coup options.
Trump’s refusal to concede and the refusal to allow the Biden transition to begin, meanwhile, is causing more than just political problems for a new Biden administration. As Biden himself noted in a press conference Monday, more people will die from COVID-19 because of lack of coordination between the outgoing and incoming administrations.

With just a handful of races still uncalled at this point, Republicans have gained nine seats -- having won 12 Democratic-held districts and lost just three of their own.

However, in ten states, nine of which Trump contests, the chart showed a huge and bizarre bounce right around 4 a.m. That, of course, was after the fraud states abruptly stopped counting, only to resume a few hours later, and that was when the tide turned so dramatically in Biden's direction that he completely wiped out Trump's advantage.

Mysterious candidate who likely swayed tight Florida Senate race under investigation
https://www.miamiherald.com/news/politics-government/state-politics/ar
ticle247238749.html
The razor-thin victory that delivered Latinas for Trump co-founder Ileana Garcia to the Florida Senate and ousted Democrat José Javier Rodríguez continues to raise eyebrows for one reason: a mysterious third candidate named Alex Rodriguez.
Alex Rodriguez, a one-time mechanic with no history in local politics, never started a campaign website, attended no candidate forums and received no donations, save for a $2,000 loan from himself. Mailers pitching his name sent to voters in the Coral Gables area were sent by a shadowy political group that, so far, has been untraceable.
When a television reporter recently tracked Alex Rodriguez down, he pretended to be someone else.
Alex Rodriguez’s candidacy appeared to exist for only one reason: to suck votes away from incumbent José Javier Rodríguez, who shares the same surname. The incumbent lost by just 34 votes, and he is now calling for an investigation into Alex Rodriguez — and whoever may have put him up to run.
The shadow candidate has drawn the attention of law enforcement. Sources with knowledge of the investigation tell the Miami Herald that Miami-Dade state prosecutors are now probing the mysterious candidacy, which has also led to a series of investigative reports from the Herald and other news outlets such as WPLG-10 and Univision, whose reporters found Rodriguez renting a home in Palm Beach County, not in Miami-Dade County where he filed to vote and run for state office.

Trump and his supporters are discovering how hard it is to sabotage election results
https://www.washingtonpost.com/
If you have one point of vulnerability, it's easier.
If this came down to one single state, it becomes a much more fraught situation.
But when Biden has the sheer number of EC votes that he current does, with such a diverse set of battleground states that he's won, it's just not feasible.
It's neither feasible for Biden to have cheated to win those states, nor is it feasible for Trump to cheat to overturn those results.
This is why Russia pursued the interference strategy - sowing propaganda and disinformation - that they did in 2016 and 2020.
Certainly Russian intelligence considered manipulating the actual vote. And certainly, they realized, as anyone would when considering the problem, that America is too big, and that with 50 individual governments tabulating and conducting the election, it's too complex a system to successfully hijack.
Additionally, if you do try to physically alter the vote, and at such a scale, you will almost inevitably leave behind incontrovertible evidence that you had done so, which would do more harm to your purpose than if you just did nothing at all. That is a huge risk with a very unlikely possibility of an upside.
Trump supporters can scree all they want, but even Republican officials and Republican judges have thrown these cases out of court with prejudice because they're utterly bereft of anything substantial. Donald Trump has been alleging voter fraud for four years. As President he assembled a task force to find evidence of it and it spent a year searching and found nothing. Because it's simply cheaper and more effective to manipulate elections via media and disinformation. It's a more reliable mechanism of producing more reliable results.
This is one of the reasons that the insinuation that Democrats stole the election is fucking stupid. It makes no fucking sense. How would Democrats manipulate elections in so many different states, all with their own governments, and do so in a way that produces not a single instance of material evidence?
When Democrats alleged that Trump cheated in 2016, it wasn't about the physical vote. It was the fact that he requested help from, and received help from, Russian intelligence in producing and disseminating damning information about his opponent.
And in fact this is exactly what he repeated in 2020 with the Hunter emails, a fabricated scandal almost certainly produced by Russian agents. Remarkable, given this is what he was originally impeached for.
It simply didn't work in 2020 as it did in 2016.
So there was cheating in the 2020 election. By Team Trump, running precisely the same scam they did in 2016, and simply not being as effective this time around.

Trump Campaign Officials Started Pressuring Georgia’s Secretary of State Long Before the Election
https://www.propublica.org/article/trump-campaign-officials-started-pr
essuring-georgias-secretary-of-state-long-before-the-election
Long before Republican senators began publicly denouncing how Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger handled the voting there, he withstood pressure from the campaign of Donald Trump to endorse the president for reelection.
Raffensperger, a Republican, declined an offer in January to serve as an honorary co-chair of the Trump campaign in Georgia, according to emails reviewed by ProPublica. He later rejected GOP requests to support Trump publicly, he and his staff said in interviews. Raffensperger said he believed that, because he was overseeing the election, it would be a conflict of interest for him to take sides. Around the country, most secretaries of state remain officially neutral in elections.
The attacks on his job performance are “clear retaliation,” Raffensperger said. “They thought Georgia was a layup shot Republican win. It is not the job of the secretary of state’s office to deliver a win — it is the sole responsibility of the Georgia Republican Party to get out the vote and get its voters to the polls. That is not the job of the secretary of state’s office.”
Leading the push for Raffensperger’s endorsement was Billy Kirkland, a senior adviser to the Trump campaign who was a key manager of its Georgia operations. Kirkland burst uninvited into a meeting in Raffensperger’s office in the late spring that was supposed to be about election procedures and demanded that the secretary of state endorse Trump, according to Raffensperger and two of his staffers.
When reached by phone, Kirkland directed the request for comment to the Trump campaign, which did not respond. The White House and the Georgia Republican Party also did not respond to repeated requests for comment.
Joe Biden has been projected as the winner of the presidential election in Georgia by a margin of roughly 14,000 votes. The state is now conducting a hand recount at the Trump campaign’s request. Raffensperger’s office has said that the recount won’t swing enough votes to tip the state into Trump’s column.

No, Trump did not win in Nevada.
https://www.nytimes.com/2020/11/17/technology/no-trump-did-not-win-in-
nevada.html
[Lame Duck] President Trump claimed a “big victory” on Monday night after officials in Clark County, Nev., voted to rerun one local race that had a margin of just 10 votes.
In the president’s words, officials found “large-scale voter discrepancy” and “did not have confidence in their own election security.”
In fact, the news in Clark County was bad for the president; a review of the votes found a relatively tiny number of problems; and the campaign of the Republican in the close race repudiated the president’s claims about the election’s security.
The most significant news for President Trump in Nevada on Monday was that officials in Clark County, by far the state’s most populous county, certified their presidential election results, confirming that the president lost by more than 90,000 votes in the county.

Joe Biden Crosses 79 Million Votes, 10 Million More Than Any Other President in History
https://www.newsweek.com/joe-biden-crosses-79-million-votes-10-million

As ballots continue being counted across the nation, Joe Biden has now received at least 79.1 million votes, or 10 million more than the previous record set by President Barack Obama in 2008.
As of Wednesday morning, Biden had raked in an impressive 51 percent of the popular vote, compared to President Donald Trump's 47.2 percent. The current president has received at least 73.4 million votes.
This year's presidential election saw record-breaking voter turnout. On November 4, it was determined that over 160 million people cast their votes on Election Day and through the early voting period, making 2020 the highest voter turnout election in 120 years.
Major media outlets projected wins for Biden in the key swing states of Arizona, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Georgia, clinching the nomination for the Democratic candidate.

Dueling Inaugurations
Much of Wall Street views the Trump campaign's efforts to overturn the election results as a desperate sideshow destined to fail. But JPMorgan is telling clients there's still a chance that this process descends into chaos. It is 2020, after all.
Michael Cembalest, chairman of market and investment strategy at JPMorgan Asset Management, warned in a report Wednesday of the "remote risk of an American horror story" and "constitutional mayhem."
Cembalest, who helps oversee $2.2 trillion in assets, pointed to President Donald Trump's Tuesday night firing of the top US election security official, Attorney General William Barr's decision to authorize prosecutors to probe alleged voter fraud and the fleeting drama over certifying election results in Michigan's largest county.
"Bottom line: a LOT of very unorthodox things have to happen for Trump to be reelected," the JPMorgan strategist wrote. "Even so, I'm not ruling anything out."
Post-election chaos would of course rattle markets, which famously hate uncertainty. The smoother-than-feared election set off a celebration on Wall Street, with the S&P 500 notching its biggest post-election rally since 1932.
But if investors don't know who's going to be in charge of the world's largest economy, they could easily sell first and ask questions later.

This was supposed to be a routine audit, but the Secretary of State tacked on a manual hand recount of every ballot to the audit. The Trump campaign is requesting another electronic recount after this hand recount, but it's basically pointless: It's nearly impossible to overturn a margin of victory of over 10,000 votes through a recount, especially since there has already been a hand recount of the votes.

I put the “personal injury” in “personal injury lawyer”! Most lawyers are chasing after the ambulance, and not the reverse, but I guarantee that if you have not already suffered a strange injury, I WILL inflict one on your case, through my precise level of knowledge of the law!
Do you have a weird laptop of unclear provenance? Do you need, not a good lawyer, just someone who is technically a lawyer? Call me, the former mayor of New York, a man who has been a candidate for president and who once took down mobsters but is in a Different! Place! Now!
Have other law firms withdrawn from your litigation on the grounds that an attempt to undermine the legitimacy of the election is not something they want to be a part of? I won’t! Call me! My cellphone number is readily available! Maybe TOO available, and I DO text back, even if I don’t know who you ARE!
I have almost THREE DECADES OF EXPERIENCE since the last time I was in a courtroom! But my skills remain just as sharp as my understanding of the law! Please pay me $2,000 an hour, unless you want to pay me a different amount; I’m going to leave it up to you!
With me in your corner, judges will be wowed. Most judges who have had to deal with me so far have been rendered TEMPORARILY SPEECHLESS and also MADE FACES!
I guarantee OPACITY — is a word whose meaning will elude me when I appear in court on your behalf! I will say something to the judge like, “I’m not quite sure I know what ‘opacity’ means. It probably means you can see, right?” and then the judge will say, “It means you can’t,” and I will say, “Big words, your honor.” That’s the kind of legal representation you can expect from me! It’s on the record!
I promise that, when it comes to standards of scrutiny, I will get “the normal one” applied on your behalf! I have never heard of strict scrutiny and I won’t ask for it! Sean Hannity thinks I’m doing a GOOD JOB!
Can you afford literally anyone else to represent you? Don’t do that! If you aren’t a lawyer yourself and don’t know what a lawyer ought to sound like, or basic details of the law, I bet hiring me will seem like a great idea!

Why Trump lost in Georgia by 12,781 Votes: His big mouth threw away 24,000 Votes
“I’m a conservative Republican. Yes, I wanted President Trump to win. But as secretary of state (of Georgia) we have to do our job,” he said in an interview with the Guardian. “I’m gonna walk that fine, straight, line with integrity. I think that integrity still matters.”
He added there were 24,000 Republicans who voted by mail in Georgia’s primary, but did not turn out to vote in November. Those voters didn’t vote again in November, Raffensperger suggested, because Trump railed against voting by mail.
“Voters listened to the president, they didn’t show up,” he said. “That would have been a 10,000 person cushion that President Trump would have had if those folks would have come back out. They just stayed at home.”
