With the help of mass mail-in ballots, the illegal ballot harvesting operation could harvest 700,000 ballots.”
That’s a lot of ballots! In Limbaugh’s telling, the scheme was yet more trickery from the thoroughly dirty Democratic Party. “They just resent the hell out of fair elections. They resent having to sit for them,” Limbaugh said. “And then they’re doing what they can to frighten you if you show up. You can either get COVID-19 or you can get beat up. Who knows what? No one was going anywhere. Limbaugh has worked very hard to cultivate loyalty from his listeners, to the point that many would never consider turning to another source for their afternoon news. No matter that Limbaugh’s monologue was, as usual, mostly nonsense. It is true that Harris County, Texas, exists, and it is also true that Joe Biden is running for president. The rest lives only in the febrile, conspiratorial minds of the right-wing echo chamber in which Limbaugh has, for more than 30 years, been the loudest voice. We knew the election was going to go down the way it is for months. Patience; Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania are unfolding exactly the way the Demarcates and media have predicted.
We knew Trump would try and declare a win before all the votes were counted. It won't happen. The counting should be, mostly if not done, before the supreme court can get involved. And since there needs to be a violation before the courts can get involved and there hasn't, they can't.
The tight races in many of the red states have and are proceeding as predicted. The Democrats have made great inroads there. They were hopeful they may be able to win some. When I decided to work every single day of early voting, plus Election Day itself, I had expectations of a positive experience and an opportunity to contribute to my community.
But I didn’t sign up for this. I didn’t sign up to be threatened, harassed, taunted, harangued and even physically assaulted. But I got all of this, and more.
Trump supporters treated the outside of my polling place in West Boca Raton like a college football tailgate party, complete with their own sound systems blasting the music of artists who most definitely do not share their political and social views. There were overflowing coolers; cardboard cutouts of Trump and his wife for the time being; gigantic pick-up trucks over-adorned with Trump, MAGA, KAG and QAnon flags; and a palpable combination of anger, stupidity and revelry. They were joined at times by local lawyer and failed Palm Beach County Commission candidate David Irving Shiner and his similarly enthusiastic and raucous team. Trump’s faithful followers blocked access in and out of our polling place with their vehicles, interfered with traffic by standing in the streets and waiving flags, and directly interfered with voters in the precinct by blasting the train horns from their jacked-up trucks directly into the polling place where voters were voting.
These self-styled patriots verbally harassed voters and poll workers, and even chanted the “n-word” at our precinct supervisor, a Black woman. One deranged Trump supporter attacked that same supervisor with an umbrella, injuring her forehead. This, to an elections office employee pulling 17- or 18-hour days to ensure your right to vote. And she wasn’t alone in being abused. A man decorated head-to-toe with cheap Trump memorabilia poked me repeatedly in the chest. Others threatened and harassed a group of teenage girls who arrived on Election Day to peacefully and quietly sit behind a “Students Demand Action” banner.
I signed up knowing I would interact with a thousand or more voters each day, but I didn’t sign up to be coughed at and spit upon by mask-refusers.

BTW - I'm not crying. It didn't work out the way I expected, but better than I hoped. It's still a divided government.
And now democrats have something to prove. They're already on shaky ground, barely edging out Trump, still a minority in the Senate, and with big losses in the House. This isn't a mandate by any means, and half the country has their knives out waiting for them to slip and fall.
