And the see-sawing of imaginary Disney numbers continues...
$1,073,543,545
Still more than enough to beat Joker by the time it's kicked out of theaters, but $80,000 less than was being reported last night.
WTF is going on with this movie?

All Disney shenanigans aside, my predictions for the week are spot on.
Monday night was $21,611, which makes the total so far for the week only $219,976, which puts it right in line for the $300-$320k prediction I had made. (Deal Tuesday will probably be near $40,000, which should barely put it over $300k.
That being said, having only made $21,611 last night, the Worldwide Gross is now at $1,073,649,789, which means that $21,611 actually equals $106,244 when using Liberal Math.
That is, unless anybody believes that this flick made $85,000 in New Zealand last week. (Lo and behold, there actually was a new international report accounting for at least some of the inflated numbers. This is the first international reporting update that has taken place since they magically made an extra $4 million dollars appear out of thin air).
Still no new numbers from the UK yet, but if it's still in New Zeland I'm betting that it got at least one more week in the UK too.
Nobody else has reported since the 29th, and more than half of them the 22nd or before.

Deal Tuesday's take just barely cleared $27,000, which was a lot lower than I expected.
I thought, if anything, I was being conservative with my $300-$320k Domestic take for the week. But there's a great chance that it didn't crack $20,000 last night as I predicted it wouldn't, and if that's the case, it's going to fall around $13-$14k below my lowest prediction.
But with Magic Disney Democrat Math (or MDDM), it now sits at a total Gross of $1,073,697,067. No valid explanation at all for that additional $4 Million dollars, but Disney should keep a lid on the schematics for the machine they created that pulls molecules out of the air and creates cash. I do hope they make all of their employees sign NDAs.
We wouldn't want that falling in the wrong hands.
Joker's total is now sitting at $1,074,151,311.
It's still unclear if Joker got another week in the theaters after March 5th or not. It's probably not very likely.
There's still a difference of $454,244 as of Friday morning, March 13th.
With Star Wars unlikely to come close to $200k for the whole week this upcoming week and dropping from there, we still have a race if Disney is done pulling that shit.

Yup...
$18,707 on Thursday night. The night it dipped under $20k, just like I predicted it would last week.
So the total for the week was $285,961. $14k lower than even my lowest estimate.
BLAME IT ON COVID!!!!!!!!
This also gives Episode 9 the win on Total Week 12 Gross by around $14.5k, as I had predicted it would (given that Week 12 for Joker was the week that Episode 9 came in and dominated theaters and it was also Christmas week).
I'm going to wait for tonight's estimates to come in tomorrow before making predictions for the week and putting the graph together again.
My guess for tonight though????
$35-$38k.
That is, if everybody isn't terrified of going to the theaters now that the Pope came out and cancelled Catholic Mass.

Hmmmm....
Maybe people are staying at home.
$22,000 estimated for Friday night's Episode 9 is certainly less than I guessed it would be. Hell, I've probably got more money in my wallet than the amount it was above what it made on Monday night.
That's $12-16k less than my estimate was... Which is the amount I was off for the entire previous week combined.
It's really hard to tell though, because there is nothing new in theaters that anybody really gives two shits about. Number 1 is that new Disney/Pixar flick that already was going to do poorly before the panic broke out. There were three new flicks out this weekend that nobody expected to do very well in the long run. This week was already expected to be worse than last year since Captain Marvel had pulled in over $60 Million alone for its second weekend and nothing here is going to come close.
EDIT: Oh geez.... nevermind. Disney/Pixar's Onward is in THIRD for its second week with less than $3.25 Million!
It was expected to clear $20 or even possibly $22 Million on the low end for a solid 1st place.
Yup. I think people are hunkering down right now. At least, the family friendly movies getting hit the hardest here. People are still going out to see movies, but with this Friday estimate for Onward being so low I wouldn't expect it to make more than $12 Million for the weekend, which would suggest that 40-45% of families are staying at home.
P.S. I wouldn't waste Comcast's bandwidth downloading Episode 9 or hard drive space on my own computer. I haven't seen a Star Wars flick since Episode II, and I'm not about to start with that piece of trash.

Estimated Weekend Take is up.
Friday: $22,000
Saturday: $34,000
Sunday: $20,000
Total BO: $1,073,791,774 (No new MDDM yet)...
Some international Box Office figures were updated as of yesterday, so it's apparently still showing in quite a few countries that weren't reporting it. That being said, I'm still unclear why the total box office hasn't been increased since yesterday when they were reported, yet there was a $4 Million spike that couldn't be accounted for a while back.
Countries that reported numbers for 3/14:
Australia (I know... not a country)
Brazil
France
Germany
Italy
Japan
Netherlands
Poland
Spain
New Zealand still hasn't reported since 3/4 and the UK last reported on 3/11.
With roughly a $306,000 deficit to what Joker made, it's very unlikely that it won't pass it at some point before it's out of theaters. Especially since making magic money appear will be a lot easier to do with up to 11 countries outside of the US still showing it.
No chance it will beat it by a Million though and get to $1,075,000,000.
So even if Joker didn't sell a single DVD/Blu Ray in the future, it still beat Episode 9 by nearly $200 Million when you consider production budgets. Closer to 2 1/2 times that with the marketing budgets on top of it.
Do Right, Be Right. :)

How Star Wars 1977 was saved in the edit.
Steven Spielberg and Brian De Palma gave the rough cut two thumbs down. “It makes no sense!”
It is a lesson on how the first Star Wars could have been as bad as The Rise of Skywalker.
