I am pert near certain that the Trump re-election strategy is as follows:
#1 Piss off as many liberals/Dems as often and as completely as possible. His people LOVE to see Dems and liberalz stepped on and pissed off. AOC upset? HUGE!
We see it here. People post the dumbest shit just to wind up the liberalz and get them to emote.
I seriously think a high % of the people who voted Trump voted for him not FOR him, but because they hated Hillary so much. They would have voted for anyone but her. I can relate - I really freakin' disliked her. So, on a wave of hate. Think about the Trumpers on this board. They have nothing to say positive about Trump. Can you remember one thing? They certainly have nothing to cheer about in terms of "what Trump has done for me." He's done nothing for anyone on this board or any of his devoted minions except the wealthiest 1%. OTHER THAN feed their hatred for all things DEM and Liberal and that means non-whites, immigrants, anyone who is yelling for their time in the sun, the Entitled, the outliers that are lined up wanting to be treated better. I can feel Trump's white America seething about "those people" so they eat this guy up and forgive him his BS and lies and forget how this is also, coincidentally, just what Russia loves to see.

I will say the only thing Trump has done right is to sign the executive order that removes student loan debt for disabled veterans.
But, that should have been done ages ago anyway.
I think my father in law, who is retired and has an injury from Iraq, still had student loans. I hope he uses it to become a better person, but being Trump supporters, I won't hold my breath.
Keep in mind, hubby has partial hearing loss in one ear and has since I've known him because daddy punched him in that ear as a toddler. Yep, a REAL Trumpster.

You DO understand that the ice ISN'T a flat sheet, right??? The ice sheet is over 10,000! feet thick at it's thickest point.
Maybe it is.
Did you see that in a movie or something, or have you actually taken a shovel and dug your way to the ground at the bottom?

Summer this year is hitting Greenland hard with record-shattering heat and extreme melt. By the end of the summer, about 440 billion tons of ice — maybe more — will have melted or calved off Greenland's giant ice sheet, scientists estimate. That's enough water to flood Pennsylvania or the country of Greece about a foot deep.
In just the five days from July 31 to Aug. 3, more than 58 billion tons melted from the surface. That's over 40 billion tons more than the average for this time of year. And that 58 billion tons doesn't even count the huge calving events or the warm water eating away at the glaciers from below, which may be a huge factor.

All the more reason for Denmark to SELL SELL SELL!!!
Especially if it's 10,000 feet of ice.
Then Trump will be stuck with the legacy of buying a worthless island the size of Alaska that's entirely submerged and useless to anybody.
Well... except for the Russians and the Chinese who would be happy to figure out a way to drill for oil there and don't really give a shit if they pull a BP and make the Earth bleed out millions of gallons of gas into our oceans.

Ohhh. The pain. *facepalm*
Yes, they have taken ice cores ALL THE WAY to the bottom of the ice sheet. I actually watched a documentary on them doing it a couple years ago, so I can say YEAH, it's been physically measured.
The deepest ice core records come from Antarctica and Greenland, where the very deepest ice cores extend to 3 kilometers (over two miles) in depth.

PS, Greenland is NOT worthless.
Greenland is believed by some geologists to have some of the world's largest remaining oil resources. ... U.S. Geological Survey found in 2001 that the waters off north-eastern Greenland, in the Greenland Sea north and south of the Arctic Circle, could contain up to 110 billion barrels.

Kind of my point.
Denmark wouldn't have the resources to drill it in a million years.
China and Russia are both EXTREMELY interested in Greenland.
Thanks for putting the desire to acquire it first in perspective for everyone.

Sigh. You are completely talking out of your ass. AGAIN. Denmark is a FIRST WORLD COUNTRY with a 300 BILLION DOLLAR ECONOMY. Believe it or not, NOT every country that isn't THIS ONE is a complete shithole??? Maybe they are smart enough to realize drilling into Greenland is really bad idea for the whole planet and it SHOULD BE LEFT ALONE?

They're a far 36th place.
325 Billion is a literal drop in the bucket.
1 United States 21,482.41 Billion
2 China 14,172.20 Billion
3 Japan 5,220.57 Billion
4 Germany 4,117.07 Billion
5 India 2,957.72 Billion
6 France 2,844.70 Billion
7 United Kingdom 2,809.91 Billion
8 Italy 2,112.80 Billion
9 Brazil 1,929.71 Billion
10 Canada 1,820.36 Billion
36 Denmark 362.15 Billion
Denmark's GDP equals 0.006% of the top 10 countries GDP combined. If they had to spend a dime on military (which they don't because of guess who), they'd be broke in a few months.
No, wishy, they are never going to be able to drill on their own without outside money.
Do Right, Be Right. :)
