I created a separate thread because there are already multiple posts in multiple threads about social media, M$M, the Clintons, Obama, the FBI/CIA/NSA/DOJ, holdover employees and appointees, foreign governments (not Russian)... it was a wide-ranging conspiracy and in order to understand the full scope, the articles need to be gathered in one thread, and not scattered among many.

THIS IS NOT a defense of Trump. Please don't bring your whines and bitches about Trump and RUSSIA!!!! here! You have a gazillion threads to obssess in; this is something else.

Good one, comrade!

You Russian trolls always bring the stupid, and it's hilarious!

Ruh Roh, Comey!

I can't remember where we left off on Comey. Was he a good guy or a bad guy the last time anybody bothered talking about him?

Comey is the guy who called Hillary an un-indicted criminal on three different occasions before the election. The final time he pulled that publicity stunt was only days before the election when he said he would reopen the investigation into Hillary if she was elected. Only after the election did Comey claim he didn't think calling Hillary a criminal would make any difference to the voters. Except if fewer than 80,000 voters switched their votes, Hillary would have won the Electoral College. She won the popular vote by 3,000,000.

Clinton's 2.1% margin of victory ranks third among defeated candidates, according to statistics from US Elections Atlas. Andrew Jackson won by more than 10% in 1824 but was denied the presidency, which went to John Quincy Adams. In 1876, Samuel Tilden received 3% more votes than Rutherford B. Hayes, who eventually triumphed by one electoral vote.

Bad in the same way Malcolm Reynolds is bad for quickness at killing people who get in his way. For Mal, the gun is always the first tool he goes for to solve his problems. But Mal will always be a real charmer and the hero on Firefly!

"I cannot defend the Director's handling of the conclusion of the investigation of Secretary Clinton's emails, and I do not understand his refusal to accept the nearly universal judgment that he was mistaken. Almost everyone agrees that the Director made serious mistakes; it is one of the few issues that unites people of diverse perspectives."

Mal makes the same kind of mistakes as Comey, but when Mal does it, people end up dead rather than unelected.

Oh... come on now. I'm sure at least one person got suicided when Hillary wasn't elected.

When Mal kills somebody he shouldn't, at least the dead don't complain, unlike Hillary complaining about Comey killing her chances of being President.

If Hillary had been the kind of person who should be President, rather than her thinking like a small town lawyer, she could have convinced the Electoral College to vote for Mitt Romney for President.

Hillary's not-so-secret plot to depose Trump before he was sworn in as President:

First, she needed to convince the Democratic Electors to all vote for Mitt rather than Hillary. Second, she needed to convince at least a few Republican electors to switch their votes from Trump to Mitt. That would have aligned the Electoral College of 2016 with the intended purpose of the College in 1787:

"A small number of persons, selected by their fellow-citizens from the general mass, will be most likely to possess the information and discernment requisite to such complicated tasks." - Alexander Hamilton
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Electoral_College#Original
_plan

But Hillary and Trump acted as if the Electoral College was a simple adding machine, rather than what the writers of the Constitution intended -- the College will use their best human judgment to make a decision.

So... Trump had a legitimate reason to fire Comey and it was not "obstruction of justice"?
And the the thing that swung the vote was NOT Russia, but Comey?
And, when Mueller did the same thing to Trump, what was THAT?

*****

It's like Gowdy said: You either indict and shut up, or don't indict and shut up. Too bad neither Comey nor Mueller followed that advice.

Comey is a delusional two-bit demigod, and even though he's a despicable excuse of a man, I must thank him for his ham-handed bungling of the entire Hillary fiasco. If not charging her meant that merely a single announcement by Comey would infuriate Americans so much and derail that smarmy bitch's campaign, then God Bless Jim Comey.
