To get back to the question of getting people to vote for you ...
There have been many, many groups of disenfranchised people, the largest of which is actually a majority in this country, which is 'women'. Then there are blacks, hispanics, lgbts, first nations, and so on. Quite obviously, a large number of people have suffered grievous historical oppression. And that oppression just doesn't disappear overnight, just because a law or two was passed.
But I think democrats have made a serious error counting on minority 'victimhood'. OR angling toward white majority economic victimhood like Franken seems to be talking about.
What is so wrong with promising fairness for all? Or justice for all? Or equal opportunity for all? OR FOR PROMISING A NEW 'FAIR DEAL' FOR ALL?
You can't address the problems of women, or blacks, hispanics, lgbts, first nations, OR WHITES, and so on until you address their economic circumstances, and the extent government has fostered our zombie economy and trickle down poverty.
You can't promise to lift up one group, or another group, or a third, fourth, fifth or sixth group, individually, unless you figure out a way to lift up all, fairly and equitably. Otherwise, the people in the groups you've avoided pandering to, will rightfully assume you have a zero-sum equation in mind - that you want to lift up others at their expense. And somebody is going to be actively campaigning against you.

So, for Nate anyway, it wasn't the Russians. Or at least, they weren't the nail in the coffin. Now, in MY humble opinion, the reason why Hillary lost was because the people thought she was an untrustworthy, more of the same candidate ... NOW, with MORE WAR!

The exact same time that Comey did that, 10 days before the election, was when everybody got their yearly massive increases in Health Insurance under the ACA.
