No, that would be JO's platform. You see, he has worldwide ambitions: global population control, global greenhouse gas reductions, global end to poverty.

Me? I don't think the USA can guarantee world peace. Hell, it can't even guarantee whirled peas. What we CAN do is promise to stop bombing people in the guise of "helping" them, get our own nation in order, and provide practical open-handed assistance (not just "foreign aid" that recycles right back into our corporations or military) to those who ask.

So yeah. Your plan, again? I have one, and it doesn't even involve world domination. What about you?

Why would I bother reading a bunch of partisan bullshit from either side, is the question I want to know the answer to.

I can think for myself just fine.

What I have noticed is that people like me, yanno... those with the ability to form their own opinions without being told what to think by the MSM... we're finding ourselves on an entirely different side of the political spectrum over the years because everything has shifted based off of what the MSM has told us to believe.

I came to this forum 12 years ago and was one of the largest detractors of GWB and Conservatives on this board.

What changed?

The MSM brainwashing is what. From both sides.

Anybody claiming that I'm illiterate and/or stupid automatically loses the argument. Especially when it comes to modern MSM click bait.

I don't think anonymous gossip can be used to indicate whether anything at all is valid. I sure hope you don't either.

HAHAHAHA!

How is that faint hope working out for you 2, in regards to this thread?

A month ago I wouldn't have gotten that. I saw some Yakov standup on YouTube one day recently in the backround while just letting YT run while I was doing some work. Pretty funny stuff but I could see why he didn't last very long since most of his platform was based around one joke.

So somebody please explain Jeff Foxworthy to me!!!!! How is he the richest comedian that ever was???? Why do people even find him funny???????

The latest bit uv evidens haz MSNBC running commercial free.
Commercial free! That must mean it's really important, like the season premier of Alias was.
Quote:

The premiere episode aired uninterrupted commercial-free for 69 minutes. There were only commercials before and after the show for Nokia. In syndication, this episode is sometimes cut down to fit into a normal 60-minute timeslot with commercials.
Say what you will about Trump, but he has been extremely kind to MSNBC in terms of ratings.

For the first time in its history, MSNBC ranked number one in both total viewers and the key adults 25-54 demographic during primetime for a full week among the big three cable news networks, according to Nielsen data.

For the week of May 15, MSNBC averaged 2.44 million viewers with 611,000 in the key demo from 8 p.m.-11 p.m., beating out CNN and Fox News in both measures.

Before anybody celebrates, keep in mind that if Firefly had twice those numbers that it would have been canceled after one se.... oh..... yeah.... :(
Quote:

Firefly premiered in the U.S. on the Fox network on September 20, 2002. By mid-December, Firefly had averaged 4.7 million viewers per episode and was 98th in Nielsen ratings. It was canceled after eleven of the fourteen produced episodes were aired.
4.7 million viewers and it was 98th in Nielson ratings....

That means that even though anybody on any side watching the news and hanging out with like minded people watching the news might feel like everybody else is in on it, when the truth is that most people just really don't care. MSNBC gets number 1 of the big MSM outlets for the first time in history and it doesn't even come close to the top 100 watched shows for the week.

100 shows? How much of that is "reality" TV? Trump should have stayed in TV if he wanted to keep the ratings.

O'Reilly used to have 2.8 million viewers, but the Extreme Libtard Brothers Lochlan and James Murdoch are working feverishly to destroy and dismantle FOX News, so where can thinking people go to instead?

Yes, I understand you are trying to make a point about the lack of impact, however you are discounting the fact that those other 100 shows are drive-by fluff - they are not for thinking people. The thinking people are now searching for News worth watching.

Geezus - you can't understand anything if you don't have any actual fucking knowledge. Unbelievable. You have no clue about actually studying and understanding something do you? Everything is like a pop song to you, "I like it, I don't like it." This isn't Dancing with the Stars df.

==============================

Then stop acting like it is Dancing With The Stars, G.

Maybe somebody would have taken you seriously about your opinions on Trump if you weren't whining about it being the end of the world from day one.

Though I don't necessarily agree that "thinking people" watched O'Reilly regularly anymore than I believe that "thinking people" watch Rachel Maddow, I see what your point is.

Let me know if you ever find something worth watching on either side, because I don't see anything.

There is actually quite a bit more than 100 shows weekly that people watch on average than any of the news outlets. The recent numbers for MSNBC finally becoming the top network for one week were just barely half of what Firefly was getting on a weekly basis, and that was a failed show at 98th place in the Neilson rankings.

There's still a gap of well over 2 million viewers between Firefly and the top performing news outlet, which would mean that there were quite a bit more than 100 shows that were watched by more people any given week than the news.

The fact that most of that is drive-by fluff just solidifies my point. Most people aren't "thinking people" or at least they tune out of politics in general.

Just something for everybody to keep in mind. Most people you know aren't paying any attention at all.

This thread was supposed to be about all that evidence of ... something. I'm waiting too see it.

But I'm curious what people think that Trump has actually DONE. It looks like some of his surrogates tried to open up lines of communication with Putin. I can see how that would be helpful to avoid all out war with Russia. For example: "Vlad, I'm pretty sure they didn't do it but everyone here's howling about how Syria supposedly chemically attacked a small, non-strategic village. I have to do SOMEthing to get people off my back, politically speaking. How about I bomb a Syrian airfield? Can we not escalate from that?" Talking to the Russians, especially Putin, could be a real world-saver. And hell, even Reagan privately talked with Gorbachev. (And from thence came the START missile treaty. http://www.nytimes.com/1987/12/09/politics/09REAG.html?pagewanted=all&
amp;mcubz=1
https://www.armscontrol.org/act/2004_07-08/Reagan)

It's not treason for Trump to talk with Putin. Or even illegal.

So - what has Trump DONE that people are so upset about?

If you arent going to watch any real newz even wen we link to it here, its going to take a lot uv typing to spell it all out for you.

Sig & 6 both posted the same uninformed comment, so I'll ansr:

1.There are alredy established communication channelz.

2. Kushner & Flynn were trying to set up a secret communication channel uzing the Kremlin'z secure system. The only reazon to do that woud be to hide it from our intel ajensyz. The only reazon to do that iz kuz they hav private dealz going on with the Russianz.

3. Jared didnt also try to establish secret communication channelz with any other country.

4. This iz so wakky that even Kislyak wuz suprized.

Sins Flynn wuz in on the meeting in Trump Tower, it cant be dismissed az merely Jared being naive and stoopid. That only leavez DESPERATE, further evidensed by the date - early Desember.

It only gets worse the more you know. There iz no innosent 'O! Thats why!' fact in this little story.

Jo - IT'S NOT TREASONOUS, OR EVEN ILLEGAL, FOR TRUMP TO TALK WITH PUTIN, OR TRY TO TALK WITH PUTIN.

I keep waiting for the big reveal - what did Trump DO that was so bad?

But not only have you failed to provide any evidence, you can't even point to a genuine issue.

I repeat my previous reaction: The headlines may as well have said

TRUMP BEGINS TO IMPLEMENT PLATFORM PLANK

There was nothing "secret" about his desire to find areas of overlapping concern (i.e. ISIS) and to work with Russia on dealing with them.

Here's an example: We have a common problem with ISIS (supported by Qatar) and al Qaida, which is funded, armed, and supplied by Saudi Arabia. Despite our increased internal oil production, we still depend on imports for about 38% of our oil, and Saudi Arabia is our second-largest supplier, and pillar of the petrodollar system. Because any interruption in oil supply and dollar flow would be a crippling blow, Saudi Arabia has our Mideast policies by the short hairs.

So, what if we could develop a competing supplier of oil? You know, someone like ... Russia? There is little love lost between Saudi Arabia and Russia, and if we could get the two nations to compete against each other that would put us in a stronger position. I don't see the downside to THAT, do you?
