Blood

Guess who? Yep, this is inspired by Les Miserables, the song "Empty Chairs and Empty Tables". I'm putting it in as a poem, but if you put it to music...well, 'till I write the next part of my chapter, this is about Serenity Valley(what elsa...?)

This blood surrounds me on the floor boards,

I hear their tromp at the door,

Empty chairs and Empty Tables, where my friends once met, now nevermore

For two months we held that valley,

And their bodies are piled all around me,

As the crows feast upon the gore.

Empty chairs and Empty Tables, where my friends once met, now nevermore

I see their ghosts all around me,

Now that they live no more,

And I hear the tromp of victors,

step over bodies on the floor,

Step over those I once called comraeds,

Now they will rise again, no more.

Empty chairs and Empty Tables, where my friends once met, now nevermore

There voices are all around me,

They want me with them, of that I'm sure,

Now they mock me from the windows,

Pale faces of the nevermore.

Watch this this blood of mine sprout upon thee,

Watch it spatter on the floor!

What once was whole now is broken,

And ne'er to be fixed, of that I'm sure.

Empty chairs and Empty Tables, where my friends once met, now nevermore

And the bullets flew all 'round me,

For one so learned in Bible lore!

This blood of mine will save us,

And no God of mine, I'm sure,

Would lend his hand to save us,

As our lives fled from us, on the floor!

And now that death is all around me,

And my friends are yet to be reborn,

This blood of ours will save us,

But our blood could not set us free!

Empty chairs and Empty Tables, where my friends once met, now nevermore

With pale faces at the windows,

They will beckon me, evermore...

Wow... that was... wow. I just played the original song to this and all I can say is wow. That was great, sad, but great.
