Well, nominally one WOULD be working FOR the Alliance. But if a Browncoat could get past that AND pass the screening process... And I would imagine that the further out on the rim, the screen would probably get "looser." No need to sacrifice a good ex-Alliance Vet on that posting just vacated by Reavers!
