Serenity Christmas Card Greetings

Hey, it's fun to decorate FFF.net with Serenity Christmasy things! Really had an intense desire to send Serenity Christmas cards this year... Don't know why, but I obey My Muse. So I made some, then I made variations on the design and put 'em on t-shirts... and then more stuff. So if anyone else has a hankerin' to have or give Serenity Holiday goodies, take a gander at my Cafe Press store to see if something strikes your fancy...

Beautiful stuff, 11th. I'm tempted but, what do the Chinese characters mean? All six of 'em (bottom two on each side are the same).

If I remember my LOTE classes correctly, the two characters in the upper left hand corner read (literally) "New Year". I don't know about the other four, though.

So glad the art is being enjoyed... thanks for the really shiny feedback, makes me feel are warm on this cool cool night...
To answer the question on the meaning of the Chinese characters, Youngspirit is correct about the "New Year" translation. The reason why two symbols on the left and the right are the same is that "Merry" and "Happy" seem to share the same characters. So the left side says "Merry Christmas" and the right side "Happy New Year".
There are also a series of Holiday cards on my site which say "Joy, Prosperity" and "Happy New Year". Those designs are for the folks who aren't into the whole Xmas thing, but still celebrate in a kind of Winter Solstice sorta way. Can't be excludin' my Pagan friends! ;-)

I just received my order today - super shiny! A calendar, a set of cards, and two ornaments, one to keep, one to share!

Just happened to check in and saw your message. I'm so glad you are so pleased! It's really been so much fun creating the Serenity items. During these times when there are NO official things for us fans, it is really cool to just plunge in and make some. Ours is a truly "make it happen" fandom!
