"They all mean something."
Her voice was certain and firm as she sat against him. It was getting dark quickly as the sun had raced to be behind the horizon, and the pair had used the entire day to play hooky. large dark eyes closed as his fingers ran through her hair with the recklessness they had been giving one another the entire weekend.
"I know." He agreed.
"Bad is the past, present, feels like the old." She explained, fingers curling as if they clutched the dreams themselves. "Good feels like the tomorrow. Distant, new, hopeful. Purpose. Feel the purpose, but don't know it."
"Beaumonde bean can factory, you deciphered that from your dreams." He said in a hushed way, as if what they were speaking of was taboo "That last one had Osiris, and they had the same kind of thing happening in them. I think that those places are one in the same. Except... the one at Osiris did something to you."
Eyes snapped open, and her head tilted back to look at him. "Academy." She took his hand and gripped it with the strength of someone three times her size. "Shattered my brain, tried to eat it, consume it, make it theirs, steal my soul, make me grey...." She shuddered with the realization. "More than one." It was finally known, finally realized what the nightmares of soulless children and brain eating monsters were about, and the thought that the academy she had been to was merely one head of a multi headed beast, made her feel sick and overwhelmingly pained. There was no thought that could ease the suffering she suddenly felt, the suffering of scores of readers who had been trapped and manipulated just like she. Her dreams were their reality, their day to day torture. She heaved, tears pouring from her eyes as the knowledge didn't cause closure.
He hated seeing her in pain, holding her close, he gave her a kiss and wished he could take it away. He wasn't powerful enough to do so, his abilities were not that strong, nor honed enough to take away pain.
He prayed for nothing but good dreams from then on.
'Come live with me and be my love, And we will all the pleasures prove, That valleys, groves, hills, and fields, Woods, or steepy mountain yields. And we will sit upon the rocks, Seeing the shepherds feed their flocks, By shallow rivers, to whose falls Melodious birds sing madrigals. And I will make thee beds of roses, And a thousand fragrant posies, A cap of flowers and a kirtle Embroider'd all with leaves of myrtle: A gown made of the finest wool, Which from our pretty lambs we pull; Fair lined slippers for the cold, With buckles of the purest gold: A belt of straw and ivy buds, With coral clasps and amber studs; And if these pleasures may thee move, Come live with me and be my love. The shepherd swains shall dance and sing For thy delight each May morning; If these delights thy mind may move, Then live with me and be my love.'
***He almost wrote her Shakespeare's Sonnet 55
'Not marble, nor the gilded monuments Of princes, shall outlive this powerful rhyme; But you shall shine more bright in these contents Than unswept stone besmear'd with sluttish time. When wasteful war shall statues overturn, And broils root out the work of masonry, Nor Mars his sword nor war's quick fire shall burn The living record of your memory. 'Gainst death and all-oblivious enmity Shall you pace forth; your praise shall still find room Even in the eyes of all posterity That wear this world out to the ending doom. So, till the judgment that yourself arise, You live in this, and dwell in lover's eyes.'
but kinda figured it was a little morbid and depressing

A/N: And that is the segway to the next fic (finally getting the name Retribution after trying so many). Though it may be awhile before the next saga as it's already shaping up to be another tedious write on my part. But I promise another three part story (though the stories converge at the end) as well as many arcs explored (particularly River's), and the return of a few well known villains.
Also, I just wanted to thank everyone for reading and posting feedback, it's always appreciated.
